I can't get past the feeling of them being like a mass of worms in my mouth.

All the above advice, including the icing, stretching, massage with a tennis ball, and the thing that really helped me was arch supports. It takes time.

Oh honey, wait till you reach your 50's if you want to talk about being invisible. Develop yourself, gain self-confidence and don't compare yourself to anyone else. You are who you are, and if you live your authentic life, you will attract the people that you deserve.

Paul might not look like Kirk Cobain, and I really hope he doesn't try to, but he can scream and yowl out songs with the best of them.

I think people that watch and take Dr. Oz seriously need some therapy.

Saving this one! Except I never saw coconut flour anywhere.

Yes. It took me a LONG time to figure out that when I'm tired and/or bored, I want to eat.

Your post was beautifully written and showed a lot of insight. Feel free to friend me, make your food diary public, do a lot of reading on nutrition and the behavioral changes you need to make. It's not easy, there are bumps along the road, but if you are committed and educated, you can do it. Best of luck to you! Jackie

No one can hold a candle to Portland, OR's breweries. No one. Too many to even mention!

I'm a foot care nurse, so I think I know what I'm talking about. Save your money by not going to the doctor, and buy yourself a pair of shoes that has a large toe box, and make sure they're long enough. Your toenail is falling off because of the constant trauma, the pounding against the top of the shoe. Chances are, your…

OK, here I am, have been lurking for awhile and decided to chime in. I've lost 20 pounds AGAIN, plus or minus a few, and really really need to keep it off this time, it's just miserable when I'm feeling fat and clothes don't fit and I feel and move like a slug. Big ol' slimy slug. Anyhow, my goals for Aug. are borrowed…

Congratulations for your patience, wisdom, and persistence. It has paid off, your smile tells it all!

Good for you. Your hard work has paid off, and you've added years to your life. Your smile tells it all!

Baron Baptiste is good...David Swenson, too.

Truly inspiring, Congratulations! Loved the pictures, esp. with the little girl and you sharing the jeans :-)

10 million congratulations to you. You've added years to your life. Way to go, your dedication is amazing.

Congratulations! You have added years to your life, and added on to your quality of life!

You look absolutely great, and I imagine you feel a lot better about yourself, too. Congratulations!

I didn't read the article yet, but why can't insurance pay for a nutritionist and personal trainer BEFORE the surgery? Surgery should be a last ditch effort, and the physician should order it ONLY after all options have been tried. If she won't cooperate, then NO. Sorry to be so harsh, but any more, surgery is seen to be…

phooey, not fair. Why is it sexy on a man but not on a woman?

Losing fat=smaller boobs That's just the way it is.

Like, when like, people say like, "like", like every other like word.

Another transplant here. Spent most of my life in Central Pa (around Altoona)--now live in Oregon.

I guess I'm "marking my spot" too, but not like male dogs mark their spots. I don't often read the message boards, over on the side it's just too worthless. A friend of mine told me about this one, at LAST there are people here that have some sense in their heads LOL just kidding I might be down to my goal, have been…

Hello all, first timer here, an Oregonian since 2000. The days are getting longer and it's time to get outside more. Goals: keep doing the 60 min. daily dog walks; on work days and the daylight is run out, do at least 30 min. of yoga; on non-work days, do at least 15 min. of yoga. At least. I reached my goal weight…

The lettuce would get soggy, and uncooked chicken has the risk of having salmonella. Not a good idea.

I can imagine how you might be shocked, being only 43, but I've heard other women say the same thing, that they started early. Menopause isn't a bad thing--it's a normal part of life. There is a huge benefit to not having PMS anymore, and not having to deal with the monthlies. I found that taking soy protein daily helped…

Agree, absolutely! Target the processed food, the McDonald's of the world, not cheese. Don't think those people got their thighs and guts from too much cheese. Learn moderation, that's the key.
