  • I really like compression pants (the capris) for working out.
  • Total so far: 92lbs lost. Looking back, at my heaviest, I never really took photos or enjoyed being in photos if I could help it so those are few and far between. Now, I've been making myself take more pics as my journey progresses. Its been rather eye-opening for me on a personal level, truth be told. Lesson learned: take…

  • Way to go! That's so fantastic for you. Congrats!!!
  • I have been Keto for about 4months now and have never been happier. I am currently 87lbs lost on my journey (about 25 of that lost doing just CICO before transitioning to strict keto). I have an open diary for friends. Feel free to add me! As for places to start, I'd suggest dietdoctor.com and ruled.me these websites…
  • Oh you will lose as long as you're still eating at a deficit. Keto as a way of eating is basically (really simplified here) a tool to manage insulin responses as well as hunger, due to high satiety in fats. For new folks, one of the most important tips I have is this: Macros, macros, macros. Carbs are a restriction (stay…

  • Good luck to all the new (and vet) keto'ers on your journey! Feel free to add me if you like, I have an open diary and I cook (and bake) keto 24/7. I've also helped many of my friends and family members convert to this way of eating and happy to say one of them is well on her way to reversing T2D. Keto for life!!!

  • "One"derland Achieved! [✔] 04/28/17 198.4lbs Those who are friends have seen my spiel already on the news feed so I won't get sappy over here too lol. Thank you so much for all the kind words and wishes. I have not seen this number in over 17 years - seventeen whole years. Oh what a journey this has been, and I am looking…
  • My immediate mini-goal is to hit the 190s or "Onederland", I am 1.4lbs away so I anticipate this will happen by next weigh-in if my trending is even halfway consistent. Next mini-goal that should be attainable within ~4 weeks will likely be my 90lbs lost milestone.
  • That's really awesome, good for you!
  • Feel free to send me a message.

  • That speaks more of them than it does for the nutrition plan they chose.
  • Moderation to everything is important. I was only trying to say that sweeteners aren't inherently bad for you. If they upset your stomach, don't use them. Much like how someone would monitor dairy if one is lactose intolerant. Some people get bad diarrhea from coconut oil or MCTs, despite the multitude of health benefits.…
  • Doing low carb or fasting doesn't mean it's NOT the "healthy route".........
  • I just need to point out that not all sweeteners are "bad". The important thing to learn about sweeteners is how your body reacts to them glycemically, its GL "glycemic load." This is true for any food we ingest, really, but in this case we are talking about sweeteners in particular. Sweeteners such as Stevia, Monk Fruit…
  • I personally do not count my coffee or the rare Zevia I have, towards my water intake. I choose to focus on strictly water intake for two main reasons: 1) my OCD takes comfort in the fact that I am well hydrated without any additives. And 2) I know how I feel when I haven't had at least my standard 3L, I can always tell…
  • So awesome to read about everyone's NSVs and inspiring! You're all moving more, showing discipline, reclaiming clothes and in need of smaller ones! That is simply fantastic, so proud of you guys and I always look forward to reading these. For me, my NSV this weekend was when we went to the movies and I noticed how roomy…
  • Officially made my 80lbs lost milestone, and some change lol. I cannot believe I am this close to being in "Onederland"...truth be told I have not been at this weight in many many years, so that milestone will be an extremely emotional one for me. Easter with my family and friends was such an amazing time, my aunt always…
  • I've been asked by a few people to share the Intermittent Fasting details that I've found are working for me, so in the interest of efficiency, I figured I would just post here. For me, I started with IF 16:8. This means 16 hours of fasting and 8 hours feed window. When you are sleeping, you are in a "fasted state"…

  • Sodium is fine as long as you don't have blood pressure issues. Drink enough water. If you have extremely higher sodium days, it can lead to the scale not "cooperating" but then again that's retaining water and not actual fat gain (assuming youve been eating at a deficit. That said...Sodium is not evil though.
  • I won't weigh-in on the "good carbs vs bad carbs" topic, I think most people know where I probably stand with that lol. That is to say, carbs are not necessarily "bad" buuuuut they are also not entirely "good", yes, even the complex carbs. My carbs come mostly from vegetables (and my Biotin supplements), if you look…
  • I only officially weigh-in weekly. Weight fluctuates so much from day to day, as well as throughout the day so I only look at daily weigh-ins for trends to indicate things like water retention pertaining to sodium intake, hormonal culprits (am I PMSing is that why my poor husband is avoiding me? Lol jk), etc. I find…
