  • I'm 5'8" and a half and mine is 145. I'll see how its going when I get to 155 though. I've been down at 130 and its too small for me
  • I drink so much tea that I have a "tea" meal in my diary. I just enter the amount of skim milk that I use over the course of a day.. its usually about half a cup
  • Due to a back injury the only workouts I can do are really gentle and just about stabilizing my back, not about burning calories. So until I can get it back to normal I'm just counting calories and it's working out great. I eat more fiber than they suggest but other than that I pretty much follow their guide. Cannot wait…
  • I have hypo-tension (chronically LOW blood pressure) makes me thirsty crave salt (self medicate to raise my blood pressure) and dizzy dizzy dizzy if it drops. Sometimes I stand up and go "blind" where everything turns completely white. Then it fades back into view. My doctor has pretty much told me not to worry about it…
  • I notice height right away. Wouldn't date someone shorter than me.
  • I don't tell anyone except some people that have expressed similar goals to mine. My sister started using the iphone app and I was really happy that she found it. For the most part though, I don't think it's anyone else's business. But if a friend seems like they want to join I'm happy to have them here
  • I make my own infused alcohols for cocktails (and to give away as gifts) The best so far : lemon pepper gin for caesars Cranberry lime vodka ... its so good that it just needs a bit of club soda. It takes 3-4 weeks to makes them, but all you have to do is let your ingredients soak in the jar and give it a taste a couple…
  • People!!! I am *trying* to get work done. Quit making this thread so interesting! Be boring or annoying so that I can log off and be productive.
  • yay!!! I'm getting close. My weight fluctuates between 172.6 and 171.3 SO CLOSE!! I can't wait to be 169 and then 168. (then I'll be in my healthy BMI) I plan on dancing around like a fool as soon as my weight range is healthy again! Good luck everyone, I was reading back through the posts and there is so much hard work…
  • Time to revive this and find more people who believe in moderation!
  • I generally eat healthy but since this is a life style change and not just a diet I also occassionally do things like have popcorn for dinner. Why? Because if I'm usually healthy but still keep my treats within my calorie limit then I'm more likely to stick to my eating plan than if I denied myself everything.
  • My favorite breakfast ever is soft boiled egg (or eggs) with some whole wheat toast cut into fingers for me to dip into the yolks and half a grapefruit, sometimes apple slices instead
  • I'm not a vegetarian and I've notice this on my fingernails too!! I get lots of protein.. lots of fatty acids.. but still, my fingernails are flaking and breaking so easily. Normally I have nice long nails and now I have to keep them short
  • Love the show! But I can't believe how in supportive their families are!! That one guys family wanted to make him fried chicken! And one lady's mom was a total cow about her daughter going to the gym
  • Lots of people say that its really good for getting through difficult times. I thought people on MFP might be interesting because its a great way to document the way you are changing your life. :)
  • bump bump bump
  • I drink tea constantly. No sugar but at the beginning of the day I pour a cup of skim milk in a cup in the fridge so that I know that I'm only using one cup of milk throughout the day. Also soft boiled eggs are the best breakfast ever, I am never hungry before lunch ever
  • eggs more eggs yeast (i bake my own bread) skim milk baby bell cheese laughing cow cheese ground turkey spinach tomatoes lemons olives yogurt
  • I love weighing in daily. I don't mind a small gain here and there because the general pattern is downwards. However, lots of ppl on here get too upset at the numbers and taking a break from the scale helps them focus on eating right and working out without obsessing
  • If you go to "Search" and type in either "loose skin" or "extra skin" there are actually quite a few helpful posts on the topics. one lady was very frank about it and the comments were good too. good luck!
  • I am like that with buttered popcorn I love air popped popcorn with lots of butter and having just 3 or four cups of it is sooo hard. I want mixing bowls full of it to myself. At the movie theater I used to eat the hugest one allll by myself. sigh. instead I just have less of it but more often so it fits into my daily…
  • This is great advice
  • If one cup of cooked lentils is around 200g then find a recipe that says how to make one cup of lentils. it should tell you how much dry stuff you need. you'll have 50g left over or you can adjust the amount
  • Bump bump bump
  • I have it and can't wait to get started again
  • Marking for later. This sounds good :)
  • wow great work!!!!
  • buy dried beans and soak them then cook them. Then you'll have them on hand and they are full of fiber and not full of sodium like the canned ones.
  • Don;t worry!! pants size has a lot ot do with body shape When I was 135 I was maaaaybe a six. maybe. At 145 I was an 8- 10. I had a small waist and flat tummy but big hips, and you need a bigger pant size to go on bigger hips :)
