So I tested positive for most markers... one was negative. I've found that over time I can be less careful than before... however, recently found that I gain with "cheating", even a small amount causes bloating, actual weight gain and fluid retention, although less violent pain than before. I have also noticed a couple of…

A lot of women forget to focus on working out a lot in the upper body with weights, and chest/arm exercises. Invest in a couple really good bras, love me some types like Modern Movement and VS full coverage for these 34DDDs after 3 kids. Be sure to use really good sports bras too, they are excellent investments. Remember…

I found the same thing at a hotel in Chicago - I was there for a conference and spent all day avoiding buffets and nibbling in my gf snacks - when we got back late that night i simply asked to speak to the chef for room service and they helped me out - I had a wonderful gluten free pasta dish and way too much of it because…

Its really about the diet... I was a CNA, very active, yet gained weight. My problem was simply too many sweets and sodas. The exercise is probably sufficient, but you have to make the diet match it. Also, honestly, I really recommend you work on the cardio when you are off work, you'll probably be surprised at how winded…

I don't eat breakfast every day - and don't do dairy free all the time, but I'm a toast and tea type. I also do the almond milk smoothies with frozen fruit, sometimes yogurt sometimes not. You can try tons of new things if you look beyond breakfast foods. I too have done lots of pizza for breakfast, make burritos or turkey…

A lot of it is just getting back into the groove. I'm there for another round too. I know from before that it really is possible we just have to get the mindset right. Once it's there you'll be okay again. Life is always throwing new curves at us and we need to come around and makes lemonade out of the lemons... you can do…

Nope, losing weight has not made me happy. I choose to be happy. I'm glad I'm losing weight, it makes me healthier and feel better. I will never look like my favorite celebrities, or beautiful people. I'm always just going to be me, and I'm happy to be myself. I just want to be the best ME that I can be.

First of all - KUDOS for starting positive changes! Now the hard part - keeping it up... just make yourself do something every day... even if it's not a workout day, a ten minute walk is something! Start slow and build up so you don't hurt yourself. Use an app like C25K... if you can't do the recommended time, then make it…

2 years gluten free here... and wow does it ever make a difference... I have found I can even cheat just a bit now, without too terrible effect, but I never just eat a donut, cake, bread, pie, or something... the thought of feeling that bad again and getting violently ill stops me. I don't have the nut allergy so I use…

First of all - I think your english was fine! Second - the one nice thing about the G-free fad - is that finally there are some good options out there that are more easily accessible... while still not cheap, they are less expensive off the grocers shelves than at health food stores, online specialty markets, etc. I don't…

If you are going to request testing for gluten intolerance - don't start gluten free now. Start researching now. I had a long process like most before diagnosis... If you start gluten free before testing it will alter the allergen results in the test, making a false negative result when really you might have one or two…

There's a lot of incentive to lose it big - that's a lot of money for an average person. Honestly, I thought she looked too thin, especially for being on TV... I hope she swings back to healthier ground and stays active and strong and stays in touch with her inner athlete... I pray she relooks at her relationship with food…

I got a totally new set with each child. I consider them tiger stripes... warrior markings... trophies... my body was changed forever no matter how much weight I lose and how fit I get, I will never be the same, but I am better for it. :)

I lost a lot at first, before I found the GF substitutes, because I didn't know what was safe. All I ate was chicken, fish, veggies, potatoes, rice and made a lot of soup. Then I found the breads, muffins, etc and gained it back and a bit more, because I overdid from feeling deprived... now I do better when I avoid binges…

Treadmill does this to me too, especially when I walk or run at faster speeds. I'm fine while I'm going, even slowing down, but it will hit me when I stop. Elliptical, track and trail don't, I can really go at it and not have quite the same dizziness. I have to cool down to super slow mo for a long time before I stop. I…

Goal for me - lose another 30# or so (fitness more important than actual weight) by the end of the year, finish grad school, and find a new job (or get the clinic to hire me in new role). Goal for horses - break in Belle, and complete Dawn - start on barrels, log some serious riding hours starting in the Summer when life…

Right now, yep, super poor this month. We are eating veggie soup, GF cornbread, GF spagetti, bread and peanut butter, tuna, oatmeal, pancakes for the kids, etc. Fresh fruit is cleaned up, some apples left, and oranges since they are seasonally safe, and the apples were discounted to 1.99 a bag for 5#. Some bruises, etc,…
