You can do it, you just haven't figured out what is going to work for you yet! When you do, you'll hit your groove and the feel goods will take over. I have been at a standstill for about a month now. I am seriously overbusy and haven't had time to add in the exercise I know I need to. I posted on here and I'm getting…

bump - great stuff so far~

Stretching, yoga, tai chi... that's what I've been doing only a few minutes a day to prep... I haven't done much at a time, so I haven't really counted it as exercise, but I have increased my "limberness" and find that I don't hurt myself doing simple tasks as much anymore... I think I need to increase the amount of…

I'm with you on this one!!! Over 40 - super super busy, still getting to where I wanna be...

The fluctuations are mostly related to fluid retention, which our bodies like to do around that time - bloating... ugh. I ALWAYS have gained 5-7 lbs when I have the cycle... regardless of sodium intake... but definitely worse if I pig out on it. While the pill isn't recommended for a lot of women over 40 years old…

I see many posters to this thread who indulge on a daily or weekly basis who have lost a LOT of weight according to their tickers... I am impressed by this, and I'm glad to see it. I think its much healthier to allow some... I have dabbled with tracking on here for a couple of years, but I am really only a couple of months…

I really like this idea - or a midway break for a swim... Being a lab - most like to play in the water even if they don't like to really swim...

As long as she is healthy and able I would just take her when it's cooler and for the distance she can go. It makes sense to me that conditioning should be gradual - even for an animal. I had an Aussie when I was a girl that lived to 17 years and he used to go on 20 mile cross country horseback rides with me. Now, I have a…

Thank you both! I'm with you. It's all in how you START the relationship. Clear, honest lines from the beginning, no chance for any hanky panky or I cut something off. Of course I was that way before I met my husband (on the internet) too... lol. He says that's one of the things he liked about me

Awww - love this - I met mine 12 years ago in a Yahoo Chat room... :) still going strong, so don't let anyone tell you it won't "last". We were living 3500 miles apart, but we made things "real" - married about 8 months after meeting, gained wt together with our kids and now we're losing it too :). Congrats to you both!

A very inspiring post for me. I am 40 - been on MFP inconsistently for a couple of years. I am just suuuuper busy. I am just a smidge over 5'2" by 1/2 inch... I started at 190+ am currently at 180 and have constant ups and downs in wt loss. My goal is to get down to 135 - that is a lot of fat to lose! I have problems with…

I'm with the jeans - they zip up easier, I can actually wear them zipped up all day and not be in agony - lol. I am able to incorporate a tad more exercise in - without realizing that I have. :noway:

 I SOoooooo agree!

I am brually honest and post my diary as well. There is no sense in hiding anything since, your result will show it anyway! Some days and weeks I do really exceptional and still have no movement on the scale. Other times I eat candy bars, high fat foods, or eat out and will post that too. Cracker barrel and Longhorn…

I'm with everyone else - proud of you - happy for you - and motivated by you... :) High Five here....

Okay so I just started today - I am doing a modified cleanse for 3 days. Due to some of the medications I take I shouldn't go juice only - but would like to keep it as a component. Today I used combo juice extraction and blender. Definitely need ideas.

Should think about having your thyroid levels checked - have your OB-GYN do some labwork they can check some of your "mineral" levels too - I have seen this in my clinical rotations, and most of the time there was another underlying issue, such as recent use of solumedrol or other steroids for some illness or a messed up…

Another 40 something - still don't feel like it inside but my body sure does! Been here off and on for a couple of years - been extremely busy trying to find the time for me to work on me... seems so selfish... just realized I need to think differently and think "I need to be around longer for my family and I won't do this…

I have worked the weekends, nights and rotating shifts... it really stinks. When you mess up your circadian rhythm, you mess up your health in a lot of other ways! Hope you guard your sleep and try to stay on the same sleep cycle as often as possible. Wishing you luck on this weight loss journey! I am older and the older…

40 and sporty! I remember buying my Mom that T shirt years ago :) Willing to try another go round with this - and need the motivation!

I will try - anything is better than nothing - I am significantly overweight and not going to be able to match some of you, but I will compete against myself. I will start with 1200 this week to be burned only by exercise. I am also counting calories this week, so I'll need to pace myself so I don't drop hypoglycemic. Next…

looks like you have done a great job so far!!!

Lose ten percent of my current body weight in two months. If I can achieve that - then I will reset a new goal - I have a significant amount of weight to lose, and it seems staggering to look at that big number. I will take baby steps and attempt to create some really great new habits to replace the old. As the heat…

thanks for the wave!

I also have never used any "diet" pills, but I would encourage you to consult with your physician if you are only eating 700 calories... that is not enough to support your basal metabolic needs which puts you at risk for numerous health problems, and actual malnourishment. You may be feeling great, but I would warn against…
