TDEE -20% for me recommends 2400+ calories and I can't imagine eating that many calories of good healthy food, and I don't want to fill a calorie goal with fluff and junk. I'm generally eating 1600-1800 calories a day (sometimes as much as 2000 - maybe once a week), which is plenty to keep me full and get the recommended…

I pay $90/month for my whole family. It's a top-of-the-line gym with racquetball, basketball, volleyball, two different indoor pools with slides, hot tubs, tons of awesome classes, and an amazing kid program with games, crafts, yoga, kidzercise, etc. I LOVE IT!!!! I'm there 6 days a week, my husband is there 3-4 days a…

BWAHAHAHAHA!!!! Funny the first time I read it, but SOOOOO funny after I realized you parodied another post.

That's awesome!!!

I bought new jeans after I'd lost 18lbs. I probably could have gotten them a little sooner. Also I think what size you're trying to drop down from/to makes a difference also. I think weight-wise there's a difference between dropping from a 20 to an 18 versus dropping from a 6 to a 4. And everyone carries their weight…

I meet regularly with a dietician who says I should never eat fewer than 1200.

fruits and veggies, whole grain crackers, emerald 100-calorie pack cocoa roast almonds (trust me, as a chocolate fix, and nutritionally of course, they're light years better than deep friend oreos)

If I'm really hungry I'll eat a small snack of cheese and crackers or fruit and nuts. If I'm not hungry I just stick with water. Sometimes dehydration symptoms can present the same as hunger.

I'm a SAHM of 3 little ones: ages 1, 4, and 5. I homeschool the oldest two.

Thanks for the recipe!

Post something on the message boards looking for new friends with open diaries. My calorie goal is 1200 too, but I usually eat 1400-1700 and burn 400-700. After you try some things you'll find what works for your body and get into a routine. Also, I never go hungry and I eat chocolate everyday. For me personally, no weight…

I used to crave taco bell and now when I drive by it I feel nauseous. Friend request sent.

I bought new (smaller) jeans last week and I can now do (a few) push-ups with my 4-year-old on my back! Man push-ups, not girly knee push-ups. I've discovered my exercise beast-mode.

Awesome self-awareness and self-control! I used to HATE "wasting" food because I felt like I was wasting money, and I also can't help but think of starving children all over the world. I've come to the following conclusions: 1) you can't really ship half-eaten food to those children, but there are other ways to help, and…

After 6 weeks and 17lbs, my in-laws commented, but I hadn't seen them during that 6 weeks, so I think it was less gradual, and more impact. No one I see on a regular basis has commented yet. I definitely see a difference though, and so does my husband.

MFP has totally replaced facebook for me! I'll add you. I'd love some other FB-to-MFP friends too.

I traded in facebook for MFP. I'm on here all the time. I'll send you a friend request. Don't give up!!!

I know you posted this a month ago, but I was searching for other East Coasters too. Add me if you're still active on here.

I'm in Virginia. I'm usually up around 6 or so and I check MFP first thing in the morning. I do most of my exercise in the evening though because it works better for my family's schedule. I'll add you.

thanks!

1lb of fat is about 3500 calories. So... hmmm, math... 3500x7 = 24,500. Did you eat 24,500 calories over the last 3 days? That's almost 8200 calories a day. If not, then eat right and exercise through the weekend, that weight will be gone by Monday. Oh! and drink plenty of water - helps flush out the extra gunk.

Every body is different. Talk to your doctor or a dietician and see what they recommend. The insurance company provided through my husband's work actually has staff dieticians and nutritionists for free consultations. I guess they see it as an investment because healthy people are less expensive to cover than unhealthy…

My husband is 5'10" and about 155. In the 6 years that we have been married, I've carried, delivered, and nursed 3 children, and had 1 life-threatening emergency surgery. My body has been in a constant state of change (leading to a max of more than 100lbs heavier than when we met). I once made a comment to a friend that my…

Baked Apricot chicken: Combine 1/2c. sugar free apricot preserves, 1/2c. fat free French-style dressing, 1/2 envelope dry onion soup mix. Pour over 4 chicken breasts. Bake at 350F until done (about 30-40min). I was extremely skeptical the first time I saw this recipe because these ingredients do NOT sound like they would…

oo! me too! I'll add you.

They can NOT see your weight and measurements. They can see your ticker though, so you can decide if you want it to show a goal weight or rather pounds lost - or something else (or nothing at all). Also, you can choose in your settings whether or not you want to have an open diary.

Wow!!!

take my (formerly tight) jeans off without unbuttoning them... guess it's time for a new pair.
