You could set your goal to be 160 and then reassess when you get there. I started with a goal of 50lbs in my first year and then I figured year two I would work on the last 20. I didn't quite hit 50 the first year, but I came pretty darn close. I still don't know what my end goal will be.

My mom worked all the time. No lie, my dad would hand my brother and me 5 dollars each and we could get what ever we wanted for dinner. We ate a lot of Domino's pizza. School lunches, and cereal for breakfast. If we wanted a cooked breakfast like eggs, we had to cook it oursellves.

You should have your personal trainer do your body fat % with the pinch and pull method. Sadly when you use a calulator that only uses height and weight it will not be accurate. I had the same issue. I have a quick speed adjust on my treadmill, so I hit the lower speed and then went up by small increments. I found that easier and I was able to impove my speed as I went along. That was encouraging as well.

I would concentrate on being healthy and keeping off the cigarettes for about a month or two, then work on weight loss again. Qitting smoking is more important at this time.
