Best show ever! Beginner Carol :)

And if all you are looking for is a quality "whole food" vitamin, there are plenty out there that are not attached to a pyramid scheme.

I have an irrational fear of things hitting me in the head. No joke. I cant tell you the number of times a week i duck because i see something out of the corner of my eye. My hubster says i need a helmet.

Piatachios. I am on a bad run. I cant get enough of them. It is all i want

Wow this thread is flat out ridiculous. How we have jumped the shark from a diet choice to starving children and slaves i dont know! I have been a veg for 20 years. But if my, my husbands, or my childrens (if I had any) lives were in jeopardy due to starvation i can guarantee you that i would do what ever neccessary to…

What's creepy? Sounds like they were high school sweethearts and got married when she was 20.

Yay I love etsy!! I have been a buyer and seller there for years. I too have been trying to figure out a non food reward for reaching my mini goals. Other than the reward of improved health I guess... But I never seem to be able to buy myself non"useful" or plain "frivolous" things. I am a budding metalsmith so I…

Sanitas and Danskos fixed my chronic leg and foot pain. I walk and stand on concrete 9-10 hours a day. They take some getting used to, and are not soft. I needed support, not pillows.

Just quickly, starting a new exercise program may be causing some of the tiredness. Unless it has been going on longer? I find that when I consume good quantities of fresh vegetables ( 8-10 servings a day) I have a pretty sustained level of energy on not much more protein than you are taking in now. I do have protein with…

Lin, I was just about to suggest in the other thread that you start your own thread for advice. I am definately not an expert so I will just read along. But maybe some of the super knowledgeable folks here will be able to help you through this.

Are you logging your exercise calories?
-
If you want a half lb loss, your are gonna have to get in a little bit more exercise. And remember us ladies get the gift of 1 to 5 daily weight fluctuations. Woohoo! Try not to focus on daily scale weight and stick with any goal changes for three or four weeks. All of the bmr/tdee calculations are just estimates and may…
-
My home---goals--- Change goals---custom I actually set my daily goal to my maintence (tdee) and make sure I net at least my bmr. Makes it easier to track my weekly deficit.
-
I am in no way an expert but, I am a firm believer in not eating (or netting) below your bmr. So yes, with no added exercise you will lose fairly slowly, if you are sedentary. But add in exercise to burn more and eat more (yay!)
-
Do you track your calories? If yes, and dessert fits in to your goal, then eat it. Its a lifestyle not a diet.
-
Kermit the frog. Seriously
-
Just a tip---roasting ( or grilling) tends to turn any ordinary veggie in to a extraordinary veggie.
-
Old: fruity pebbles. I have no idea if it as good as I remember, its been years since i have had it. I could easily polish off a box in an evening. You have to eat it fast before it gets mushy, and of course I drank the sugary pink colored milk left too! Now: grape nuts or uncle sam

Razz, first let me say that i love your attitude! I think you have done the right research and have a good foundation. Having a basic knowledge of your metabolic info is so much more powerful than going at it blind. You will get slightly different bmrs and tdees from different sites using different calculators. I think I…

Whoops. I think you have done a great job with the calculations. So many folks don't get in to the nitty gritty numbers. I think the mfp value at 3/4 active is probably a bit low based on all the exercise activity you do. I would split the diffence and start at 1850 to 2000 and revealuate after 3 to 4 weeks. I have found…

Right, and it only reduces "fat burning" while the body is actively metabolizing the alcohol. So unless you are drinking twenty four hours a day and have little to no calorie deficit then the occasional drink is okay and will not greatly inhibit weight loss.
