High reps and low weight is where it's at. That's what I do mostly and that's when I started seeing much transformation. I train my clients this way now most of the time as well. IT WORKS! Trust the process!

I have the Polar FT4. Not a lot of bells and whistle, but it tracks HR, your zone, and calories burned. It will keep a log for you.

HILARIOUS!!!! I JUST ate regular PB2 with raw oats. It's one of my favorite snacks! I usually add a bit of cinnamon to is as well. :)

Machines have their place, but I mostly use free weights and body weight. As already stated, free weights cause you to use more muscles than the machines isolate. Do as many compound exercises as you can rather than isolation. :)

Don't sweat the few pounds....these things happen. However, skipping meals is the kiss of death. You also want to go for QUALITY as well as QUANTITY. Bacon has a lot of sodium and can make you retain fluids.

DITTO ON ALL! Especially on not eating back your exercise calories. YES YOU SHOULD!! The bottom line is Calories in vs. calories out, whether this is caloric restriction or calories burned. Eat more to weigh less. Sounds crazy, but true. You should get to the point where you are HUNGRY and want to eat about every three…

A couple of other things to consider...you are getting more fit, so you will burn less calories as you go along. Try not to be married to the scale. Over a six month period, I lost ZERO pounds, but two sizes. :) So, measure your inches as well. Glad you went Polar. I love mine!! Good luck!
