British Columbia...worst fricken winter everrrr!
-
I took it for a few months and liked the way I fell asleep with ease. I started to wake up so tired, like I had never really slept. I didn't connect the two for quite awhile and started to think my thyroid or something like that was causing my exhaustion. When I finally stopped taking the melatonin to see if I felt a…

I've been having the exact same problem. It was never like this before. The needle will go down, then I gorge on whatever I can find. I think I'm going to weigh myself only once a week instead of every day. I'm thinking that way, I will only have one day to resist temptation, instead of every day I see the needle go down.…

That has been my demise for months and months. Eat healthy all day, walk by the jar of chocolate chip cookies without cheating. 3 am rolls around and visions of those cookies are dancing in my head. Then...there goes yet another binge. So you get to wake up in the morning feeling absolutely horrible for blowing your…

Been there soooo many times...sigh

I totally understand. If I get one of those uncontrollable urges I run right to my scale and weigh myself. It really helps. It reminds me how hard I have been working and that I'm just going to take a step backwards if I go for the binge. Then I will go eat an apple or banana and drink a huge glass of water. Another binge…

Hands down...hangover! Nothing like a quarter pounder supersized meal to feel better. Otherwise, camping. I love hotdogs, burgers, anything cooked over a campfire. When we have a movie night I trash my diet. Popcorn, extra butter. Oh...and chocolate bars. I also have this thing about wanting to binge when I wake up in the…

I'm in...11lbs to go

^^^ I started this way of eating about a week and a half ago. I have to say I don't feel starved all the time and my weight is finally going down

I bought Turbofire 1 week before my car accident...a year ago. It is still laying there collecting dust because the accident injured my back. :( Can't wait till I can try it out

^^^^^ Agree (not trying to make you feel bad though) A child's self esteem is still being formed at this age. I think the best thing to do was make a joke about it. My son (he is 8) told me my butt jiggles when I walk up the stairs. I laughed and told him that was what I was aiming for. (It bothered me but I would never…

Last weekend was the first one in a long time I didn't do my usual binge. Brown cows and McDonalds are sooo my downfall! I also get the pleasure of watching my family stuff themselves with munchies on weekday evenings. Last night they had dill pickle chips. I stayed on track last weekend by sheer willpower...brutal! Hope I…

Lets see...only my entire closet, minus two pullovers, one pair of jeans I'm so sick of wearing and four pairs of yoga pants. :grumble:

This is such a good post. You can't group everyone together like that. Some people have eating addictions, depression, very low self esteem and so on. I know people who just grind your nerves and really need to just put in an effort. On the flip side, others are truly suffering, not just complaining.

Two c-sections. I think they are the greatest things on earth! 27 1/2 hours terrible labour with my first 8lb 10oz baby boy until I finally had the c-section. Had one with my second son too. He was six weeks early but still weighed 7lb 3oz. Can't imagine what he would have weighed had he been full term. Lost all the baby…

My son is 12 now and his weight is on target but he went through this when he was 10. It was heartbreaking. His self-esteem took a dive and I knew I had to help him. I have a treadmill and I bought a box set of his fav. half hour comedy. He walked on the treadmill in the time it took to watch one show, three times a week.…

Love, love this one...good advice

I actually laughed when I thought about it! My husband and boys had Panago pizza for supper. I had a salad. Then we all hung out for awhile and I got to watch them polish off a bag of chips. On top of it they complained that they weren't the right kind of chips and I needed to stock up on chip dip next time I go grocery…

You can add me too. I'm also on here pretty well every day :)
-
I will stay on track today because after a couple days of a slump I feel motivated again...yay!

I felt so sad for you, reading your post. You are grieving over your loss and are being too hard on yourself. I'm so sorry for your loss. As far as the fatigue, stress can do that to your body. It has me wondering though...have you had your thyroid checked? Asking this because I went through terrible fatigue a few years…

I know...I hate it when my ticker goes the other way. Just happened - again! Only thing you can do is forget about the binge and push forward. :)
-
I know how you feel. Im having a crappy "give up" day too. The only way to go from here is up, just keep thinking that. You didn't fail. You just hit a little snag. You can do it...just keep telling yourself that.

British Columbia...feel free to add me :)

When my kids were younger I took them to childcare at the gym. They liked it there and it was a much needed break for me. I paid for an hour and a half Mon-Fri. That way I could exercise for an hour and then had extra time to change and do my makeup and hair. Made me feel better for the rest of the day.

I don't think thats a bad idea. The weekend is alot of people's weakness, as far as binging goes. If you upped your calorie intake for that one day a week I bet you wouldn't want to binge so badly. And it would be something to look forward to.

I drink fresh squeezed lemon juice in hot water every morning...gets the digestive system going. I don't seem to have crazy cravings now. Good stuff!
-
My problem too. I reach my mini-goal and its all over...the binge begins
-
You can add me too. I'm 43 and I know what you mean about weightloss as you age
