  • you both look great
  • I think cleaning vigorous effort might be closer....or gardening. Working above your head is a great strength builder. I painted houses for a summer volunteer work and I got pretty toned
  • I cannot stand to hear breathing or have my husband touching me when I'm asleep....There is a dmz (demilitarized zone)in the middle of the bed, violate it at your own risk... sorry to all you that can't stand noisy eaters, but.....I can't stand it when I'm just trying to eat my meal in peace and someone badgers me about…

  • I look at my progress thus far. I totally understand the fat day complex. So when I feel bloated and gross I put on my day 1 pants. because even bloated I'm still smaller than I was. I also try and go for a walk. A little fresh air and sunshine usually boosts my mood. Also if 3500 calories is a pound, say for instance you…
  • yup. My width went down and my length actually went up...go figure.
  • the biggest places that are gonna get screwed up with major weight loss are arm band tattoos, your band may not appear straight and look puckered, and around the belly button or lower stomach. I didn't have any in these locations, so no big issue but i've had friends with bad looking ones around their belly button after…
  • I got a a cheapo from walmart for 24 dollars that tracks cals burned. Its worth the investment. Even on the same video my burn varies by 100 per week sometimes and some videos I average 900 while others only 450.... So there really is no way to database it if its not even relatively standard for one person :)
  • Bras and shoes really are a must. Maybe get 1 bra and crosstrainers to start with and then get your running shoes next month which will give you time to get used to them before the race. And then in June treat yourself to another new bra. A cheapo hrm from walmart for $24-27 will do the trick, they do not constantly update…
  • haha I actually have this and consider it a problem....30 inch waist and 47 inch hips.... so Ab Ripper X by Tony Horton is AMAZING!!! try yoga, warrior 1 and 2, sun salutations, bridge, boat, and bow Also stretch out well before and after, drink a protien shake after every workout to help build new muscle.... Anyone with…
  • I would definitely consult a physician about this. I have hypothyroidism and depression and I need to be closely monitored by a physician when I lose weight because of hormone level changes. As for body composition....I had horrible backfat the first time I lost all the weight. I eventually had it lipo'ed after I'd been at…
  • 1000-1100 cal is NOT enough to heal properly and quickly your BMR is your amount of calories you need while just laying around. EAT THIS because this is what you're doing. The initial recovery phase is not the time to try and lose weight because your body needs more calories to heal. As long as you still need pain…
  • And to add I have broken a bone and worked through it because it didn't hurt that bad.... A week later the pain from them rebreaking it to set it was excruciating..So take it from me a dummy and get it checked out.
  • Try adjusting your weight loss goal...If you have it set at 2lbs per week (which it sounds like) cut back to 1.5....you will probably still lose two (i do) Also it sounds like you have injured yourself. You will need to eat more to recover as well as increased protien to rebuild muscles. It is a good rule of thumb when an…
  • HAHAHAHAHA I wondered this idly myself the other week. I am an Episcopalian and often serve as chalice bearer, which means I finish off the consecrated wine and host...I figure if drinking half a glass of port (which is what we use) I should consider counting it....but then again *stand*sit*kneel*stand*sit*kneel repeat…
  • *sigh* Chickfila sauce....I knew that I was having a splurge meal, but 280 calories for two 1 ounce packets of sauce....I was thinking like 90, so yeah really had to bring it in p90x just so i could eat dinner today
  • depends....some people will tell you no..that said. Are you diabetic? Splenda has the same endocrine response as sugar Are you trying to be ultra low carb? Splenda counts as a carbohydrate even though it has no calories If the answers to those are no then go for it...all things in moderation. There are many people that…
  • haha its just easier to weigh au naturale. I don't care what my clothes weigh. Unless you wear the same outfit for every weigh in you won't be getting the most accurate read

  • I am not doing the diet with it....Still getting great results. Hubby and I are on a budget and supplements and such are just too expensive. Take some pics!!!!! I see things in pics I don't see in the mirror
  • P90x is ultra intense there are lots of leg lunges and balancing on one leg. I don't think P90x would be right for you at this time if you cant bear your full weight on your leg
  • 2800 is not too much if you're working out extremely. You need to fuel your body. It will hold on to excess weight if you don't give it enough fuel. Give it 2-3 weeks and reconsult if need be. I assume 2800 is your total intake and not net.
  • it says ouch because of the way you step on...I haven't figured out the "RIGHT" way to step on yet...sometimes it says great sometime ouch...

  • I can eat whatever I want because I exercise and I have a high metabolism...You may not be gaining weight but not eating a balanced diet is not providing the essential nutrients your body needs to function optimally and could cause low energy, lack of sex drive, mood swings etc etc depending on what you're deficient in.
  • yay I'm glad you got a good kind of flirt...unlike the totally awkward stalking type I was walking maybe 6 blocks from my church to my local downtown (small sleepy town, very quiet). Dude follows me for 4 blocks calling after me hey whats your name, where you going...ducked into corner liquor store and the owner chased him…
  • If someone else orders dessert eating half doesn't count.... My sister used to eat about half my dessert and then half my moms, lol but since she didn't order them she had no calories, even though she was the only one that ate a whole dessert
  • GREAT JOB DARREN!!!! Way to go! :flowerforyou:
  • Yes replacing the pint you lose causes the body to burn about 600 cal...but this is over the course of a week. Add 350 to cardio burned calories because that is what you will use over the day to replace blood sugar and increased heartrate due to lower blood volume. Great job for giving blood!
  • Its not that they are overpriced...Junk is cheap because corn a key ingredient in junk is subsidized. If the government wasn't picking up the tab for excess corn junk food would actually be much more expensive than nonprocessed food
  • You can do this!!!! We're here to help
