Thank you so much. It's hard staying on track right now when I'm working at 50%, and last night was a perfect example. After spending all day providing care every 2 hours for up to and hour and half each stint, I clean forgot to plan my meals and wound up snagging a fatzidilla (hubby's word for a cheese Quesadila --and…

I'm in on losing 100 lbs! I'm sending out friend requests and welcome anyone else to add me if they're headed the same direction. Right now my biggest focus is on getting the hips shaved down to fit in a freaking airplane seat by the start of September as I don't want to pay for an extra seat. I'm going hard core as much…

Too bad they don't have a smiley waving! Me, me! I'm adding everyone that's posted so far and with regards to not getting comments on statuses someone mentioned (sorry, dang thing blocked that out), I don't fall into that group. I try to visit every one of my MFP friends and comment *daily*. Feel free to add me!

You may also find that it's your detergent. I had the same thing happen after we moved to a septic system and I had to change our detergent. Whenever I would sweat, the detergent in combination with the materials used in the dry-fit exercise clothing would cause the hives on the areas where I sweat the most. When I…

Yeah, I saw the same thing. I bought some via eBay (because those televised clearinghouses are the biggest scams out there) that was "pure" and it didn't do squat. Dr. Oz is nothing but a 2 bit scam artist. Reading through posts here I now see that a lot more clearly. I mean, come on, he has 3 people on that have lost 5…

Fabulous! How do you feel?

Amen! I love that MFP is on my phone so that I have *no* excuses when making a decision on what to eat. Also, my husband got the THIS/THAT book a couple Christmases ago and that's woken me up. He told me he subscribes to their newsletter and in a recent one learned that it's healthier to eat a double hamburger from…

Wow! It sounds like you have an excellent support system and a really great approach/mindset to this plan. Keep it up!

Bringing a resistant family on board with eating better and exercising is not unfamiliar to me. However, getting everyone on the same page hasn't been as big of a deal for me because of the complexities in everyone's diet. My husband is lactose intolerant and is sensitive to egg yolks. My youngest (I have twin boys) also…

Good for you!

Ha! I couldn't help but laugh at this one. Last night on LMN (Lifetime Movie Network) they were showing Lying to be Perfect starring Poppy Montgomery (http://youtu.be/krG91OEJg_M) which I thought was perfect timing and certainly inspirational even if none of the ladies were carrying off the fat suits that well. It's good…

Agreed! Love the graphic, it made me laugh.

Forcing myself to eat breakfast, taking multivitamins because I know that if I don't, the anemia sets in and then everything goes to hell in a hand-basket, planning well in advance for meals so that (a) when I go grocery shopping I'm not starving and buying crap and (b) I'm not throwing together a meal that has absolutely…

Roller coaster rides can be fun, too, especially when you get the results you've been working for; well done!

Great job!

Fantastic!

Congratulations! That's an incredible feat, you are truly an inspiration. I hope to see more progress updates from you as you work out at the gym.

I don't watch the show, it's misleading and completely unrealistic. I'm sure they are medically supervised, but whenever you condense something like that for public broadcasting, some of the most important aspects are lost on the editing floor. Besides, instead of sitting on my butt and watching, I'm ... oh who am I…

Eating breakfast. Dead serious. I get up, go for the coffee, get writing (cuz that's what I do) and before I know it, I'm about ready to pass out and it's well after lunch time. It's the absolute worst feeling in the world because I get to thinking I've shot it for the day, why not go hog wild, satiate the hunger, and get…

That's always been my hurdle. I found that by taking a day out of my week and preparing my meals for the remainder of the week worked the best. My favorite lunch became a Boca Burger on Romaine lettuce with soy nuts added for crunch and barbecue sauce as a dressing. Another great lunch-able has been to get the Genisoy BBQ…

Puberty, but that coincided with some other things that were going on in my life; I subconsciously ate with the intention of gaining weight to make myself less attractive. At least that what years of counseling has established. The habits settled in and I became comfortable with my weight - more or less. I had a setback…

Name: Missy Where you live: Northern California Age: 50 Starting weight and Goal (or how much you want to lose): 270/150 I'm not new to dieting, but most of the crutches I've used in the past to get me over the beginning hump (motivationally speaking) are no longer, due to menopause, available to me. The diet medications…
