No, throw it in the freezer! :)

I live in South East Michigan. :)

That's awesome! Way to go! I cannot wait to reach that goal myself! My healthy insurance is a b*tch to deal with if you have a BMI over 30 :(

No, I really didn't miss the point. That's the excuse justifying this whine about "whiners." Give me a break. If people who won't take advice are really the problem, vent about that!
-
Perhaps it is easy for some to simply say "just stop whining," but for the people that are working really hard and not seeing results, it can be extremely frustrating. We all have different bodies and different rates of loss. Some people even have additional medical reasons for not being able to lose weight as quickly, no…

In my opinion, it's pretty narrow minded to think that eating a tiny cupcake is going to make you look like a cupcake. Maybe you've been eating too much cucumber and that's why you look like such a d... Nevermind. :)

I take maybe 2-3 off days a month, and usually, it's just because something came up with work that caused me to not make it to the gym. I alternate between an hour of circuit training on odd days and straight cardio on even days. No problem with that approach thus far.

Everyone is different and different foods will effect their body in their own unique way. As long as you are getting all your nutrients, that's fine... but if you just ate your 1800 calorie goal in potato chips alone, you aren't going to be as healthy as you could be. Every once in a while, having a day full of fast food…

A large salad with dressing on the side, or their grilled chicken sandwich and save half for later. You can substitue fries for a side salad.

What a catty thing to say, that's all. Why shame someone for seeking out additional motivation? I didn't lose weight for my wedding, and it had nothing to do with it not being important enough.

If your business flops I think it might have more to do with your attitude than anything else.... :/

What the heck does this even mean?! 0.o

Guilt, shame, boredom, whatever. I ate like it was a job. I was always a little chunkier than normal, but I really blew up due to sexual abuse. Food was my escape from having to concentrate on anything other than how good it tasted. By the time I was 20, I was 350lbs and I decided to make a change, I just wasn't ready to…

Basically you are saying you burn 600 calories a minute doing what you just described. I'm not shocked that someone who weighs 100lbs more than you could burn much more than that taking similar activities into consideration.

Nope, coffee is pretty powerful stuff. Even the smell makes me sick. :(
-
I believe in the power of coffee....to make me gag.

I'm not a mom and I have a lot more than 40lbs to lose, but I just wanted to say I admire you. I know homeschooling takes a lot of hard work, dedication, and sacrifice. Good luck with your weightloss! :)

Over the past 3 monthsI have tried 4 (yes, 4) different scales and my most recent purchase appears to be the best so far. I can step on and off it 6 times and get the same result each time. The other three? Not so much. It was $22 with free shipping from Amazon.…

Aldi's is great, and they have plenty of healthy foods, but I don't purchase any produce there. I go to a local market for that portion. Aldi's = extremely affordable eggs, milk, cheese, breakfast food, canned goods, frozen food, rice, bread, yogurt, baking supplies, dark chocolate, oats, etc

I don't wash my hair after each workout. I take a shower every day, but only wash my hair with shampoo every other day. I use conditioner like once a month.

I 100% can say that I would never be friends with anyone who did this. In most situations, I could be considered the "ugly" one in my circle of friends.....they don't keep me around because I "make them look better." We are as close as sisters, we love each other, and would do anything for one another. We are friends…

I get a grilled chicken salad with light dressing from McDonald's, Burgerking, or Wendy's. I will also get the oatmeal from McDonald's or a grilled snackwrap on occasion. If I'm in a splurge mood, I'll get a small chicken nugget meal.

Cheating. I HATE when someone takes a perfectly likeable character and make them a cheater (or have them try to make someone else cheat). Sorry, I automatically hate you now and you will not be able to redeem yourself, ever. Ruined so many popular movies for me. The Notebook, Brokeback Mountain, Little Children, My Best…

I wasn't disagreeing with you, I was just adding to that thought. :) Saying "Blech! Not for me!" does not equate "No, and everyone who likes it sucks." ETA: Again, not saying you think this at all, just adding a clarifying thought to what you had written.

Same here, although I like the idea of halving the time if you ARE going to log it. I never log anything that is a daily task or otherwise normal activity (shopping, walking from back of parking lot, cleaning, taking stairs, work, etc) but I did recently log a lengthy visit to an interactive museum because I was there for…

Not bad, just not for everyone! I like what a PP said best; "I don't like people." LOL cracked my *kitten* up. I love people, but seriously, I do NOT want a crowd of them cheering me on while working out. God, no thank you! People are free to spend their money on whatever floats their boat. It's about your own personal…

I went to a large children's museum the other day and logged it as a VERY leisurely walk. I also cut the time I spent there in half, just to be sure I wouldn't overestimate my "burn." We did a lot of walking and climbing stairs, but it still was nothing that took real effort.
-
I think I will stop logging and begin guestimating eventually. I'm pretty good with numbers, so I'm sure it will just be a passing thought about whether or not I should eat something that day. PS- Why do you hate the "g" key so much? :(
