Hi! I think it's an individual thing you get the hang of and play around with yourself. I don't pay too much attention. I tend to go over on sugar as I consume a lot in the form of fruit and dairy. I tend to be under on carbs as that's just what works for me. I see the protein macro as a guide sometimes I'm under sometimes…

I agree too. But I like walking and gardening and I have a physical outdoor job. I tried watching tv whilst on the elliptical but I didn't enjoy it. Still felt like a chore and made me really hungry and that endorphin rush they all bang on about well, during this time and previous years of gym membership it's managed to…

Hi, I'm in Cyprus. I live near the border of the TRNC so sometimes have Turkish food in my diary and Cypriot food has some similarities too. I love Middle Eastern food and lots of my MFP friends eat a lot of it too. Welcome to add me.

Great story. I'm down from 96.5KG to 83 at the moment and not sure about cals, goals, or how long it should take and what I'll maintain at. So very interesting to me.

I've got that. I tried it a few times. Can't get past level 1 so gave up which makes me think you're doing really well!

The WW Iphone ap does this I think but would probably only give you WW points so that doesn't help much does it. but I get what you mean and yes it would be handy. My friend is a very loyal WW member and now knows the best choice at most of the UK chains by heart as a result.

Changed my settings to lightly active. Don't log any activity and log all my food going over by a bit one or 2 days a week. It's working for me.

I'm a little bit taller and I'm bigger build too but I'm going for waist size. I only want to get to 29 inches which is a UK 12. Anything under that will be a bonus.

I prefer to peel them. I also prefer them cooked. I make a compote just by heating them with a bit of orange juice a tiny bit of honey and a sprinkle of cinnamon. I stir this though Greek yogurt or on porridge or I have been known to use it as a filling for a Victoria sponge cake instead of jam. You can roast them and eat…

I was told that everything outside of a normal routine would count. Is it on the database? If not then it probably doesn't burn much. A lot of peeps on my friends list log things like cleaning and food prep though. Personaly I have an active job and it can include anything from cleaning to building a shed to gardening and…

I'm 5 ft 3 and a bit. I've lost 25lb and I'm still in UK 16s (the size I was when I started) most of the time although can just about fit into a couple of pairs of 14 trews.

My husband is the same. He isn't ready and I'm not going to push him. He finds MFP a bind. He hates me logging everything and isn't partticularly supportive. We don't have ba stuff in the house he just eats huge portions of the healthy food I cook but his downfalls are bread and booze. He says he'll go on a health kick in…

I feel the same way about adding cream too. If you absolutely have to though, make the smoothie with yogurt and vanila extract and put a bit of squirty cream on the top? I'd rather have a big bowl of berries with a squirt of cream on though. I don't have smoothies very often and whe I do my faves are more juice based.…

You could try that but you'd get the same effect from yogurt with vanilla extract or cinnamon. Putting ice cream in a smoothie is a bit of a waste for me. I love Ice Cream and haven't cut it out. I buy the best I can afford and eat it in small quantitys that are portion controlled and keep it in the outside freezer so I…

Are you measuring too? I sometimes get better results that way. Also watching sodium and drinking loads of water is helping me. Having said all that my weightloss is slow. 25lb since xmas. At first I was bothered by it until I realised I have no stretch marks or cellulite which is what happens with a slow loss. Less chance…

I've been doing this a while and I prefer to grow things that we can just pick fresh as the preserving does take time but we tend to get gluts of tomatos so I just puree those and freeze them. I also make homemade chilli sauce and I grill aubergines and freeze those too. We have a lot of citrus trees too. This year I made…

Since I am better friends with the tape measure than the scales I'd say 5 inches from my waist and 3 from my hips.

Agree re worcestershire sauce. I also like mango chutney with turkey burgers.

I've had the very same concern but I was told not to worry and that MFP sets sugar very low. I go over each day just with milk and fruit and I'm not giving either of those things up. I do however consume sugar in other things without worry but I'll look at this if I hit another plateau but I cut out bread, rice and pasta as…

I would never advise somebody to eat something they don't like either but if you want to there are a few more things you can try. I always have Greek yogurt in my fridge and I eat it every day mostly with fruit, nuts, honey and cinnamon but I also use it to make salad dressing as has been suggested it makes great coleslaw…

At 19lb nobody really noticed. I did tell a friend who wanted to know why I wasn't boozing so much . She didn't believe me and she then went through my FB pics to compare and concurred with me eventualy showing me some old pics where I 'definately looked a lot fatter' which was charming. I'm about half way through. At the…

Sorbet! Yum! Why didn't I think of that. I'll be giving that a try! Always end up putting leftovers in the freezer anyway when we get a glut.

In a daquiri is my fave! But not having those at the moment! I like them best on their own but you can do all sorts try them on your Breakfast cereal, on a caramel snack a jack with philly light like a cheesecake, with lo fat yog and crushed up meringue like eton mess. I had them last week in a sauce over a grilled duck…

I find the calorie thing confusing too. You have had an impressive weight loss so far on your intake. I know you'd find it hard to up this. I looked up my TDEE the other day and it was more than I ate over the weekend yet still managed to gain as I frequently do so it's easy to feel wary of upping cals. I agree with what's…

How frustrating! I think the main thing is to just keep at it. I don't want to tell you things you already know. I'm having lots of ups and downs and I'm gutted that I'm 3 months in and not shifted 2 stone yet but I keep changing things. Cutting out rice, pasta and bread helps me and making sure I drink all my water. And…

Mine are mostly things I can't get very easily here. Rhubarb, Celeriac, Blackberries and Asparagus. But I also like some of the things grown here that are amazing when in season. Strawberries and Watermelon in particular.
-
I agree. But if you have to get on the scales why not weigh in a format you are not familiar with. I only know my start weight in KG yet understand lb more. I've never once converted my start weight into stones and lb I think it helped. It's only numbers on a machine is a great quote and I'd have been far more relaxed had…

I don't low carb and I'm not vegetarian but I've considered both. I eat low carb meals sometimes. I couldn't do a true low carb diet as they can be higher in fat and salt than I am comfortable with. However, I don't believe that you can eat anything as long as you stay within your calorie goals. I've found I gain everytime…
