Alright, let's see if this will work... Before, taken some time in 2008 at my wife's Grandmother's 90th birthday party. The picture that put it all in perspective and kicked my *kitten* off the couch and onto the "must lose ....(whew I'm out of breath already?!)... weight!" journey. And this was taken earlier this year in…

I eat the skin when I eat salmon. and I eat the entire apple 'cept for the stem. Core and everything. Fat Jason used to enjoy french fries dipped in Wendy's Frosty and mac-n-cheese with ketchup and hot dogs mixed in. Nom.

I shared an elevator with Trevor Pryce and Rahim Abdullah while I was at Clemson for a summer session. Holy **** those guys were huge.

The challenge of the next up-hill segment The chorus of GPS watch chimes at each mile-marker of a race Thinking my pace is slow, then looking down at the watch and seeing it much faster than I thought Wildlife (rabbits, squirrels, deer and random birds are the mainstays of my running routes) And the de-stress that comes…

We eat at the dinner table (me, the wife, 2 kids and derpy dog scarfing droppings underneath) . But what I find really helps is that we prepare, portion and plate dinner in the kitchen then eat in the dining room. Rarely do we get up to get more. On top of eating together as a family, which I think is great, the TV is off,…

Second this. I like BMI's 1.M.R. and Cellucor's C4. BCAA's, some creatine, some other junk and a ****-load of caffeine (there's a warning on the back of the C4 to not take if you're drinking coffee. One tiny scoop of C4 has the equivalent caffeine as 4 cups of coffee). You can buy smaller sample pouches online…

Gotta be pooping with the door open. I haven't been able to do that in a long time.

Just keep in mind that some of the Crystal Light packets do actually have calories (not a lot, but not zero - the lemon tea, for instance, is 5 calories per serving and the little tube packet is 2 servings, so 10 calories. If you drink a lot of them, it will add up), log it and move on.

Mine runs like heck, especially in the spring and summer. Zyrtec D each night at bedtime. Blow nose before changing clothes for my lunch time run Blow nose after changing clothes for my lunch time run Snot rockets and "farmer's blow" when running And I'm not embarrassed to lift the bottom hem of my shirt and wipe clean. Or…

This. Or I find an interesting recipe and make enough on Sunday night for the week. This week is the herb frittata that I saw in Runner's World (6 servings @ 175 calories per) and I'll supplement that with some veggies or a small slab o' meat, depending on what the day's workout plan is.

Got my butt kicked at Camp Currahee this morning. 10k, 52:09, which is 5 minutes off my PR. There's a reason for it, tho. That's right, a near 600-foot climb in one mile and it was brutal. With the exception of the top 4 or 5 guys, EVERYONE walked a huge portion of the hill. My only personal disappointment is that I was so…

Yep, that simple. I do it all the time when I'm just in the gym.

3 to 4 32 ounce cups every day. And that's just the water. Throw in the coffee in the morning and the single can of soda I have at lunch and the occassional frosty refreshing beverage at dinner...I am well hydrated and pee clear.

Sound advice for novice road runners here. I always also carry my phone. If something happens and I need to call my wife, I have it. Personally I don't see the point of an ICE contact (my phone is always locked, so paramedics wouldn't be able to get into my contacts), but I know that the first time I don't carry it...I'll…

A couple guys from work and I sIgned up yesterday for the 10K at Camp Currahee in Toccoa on May 31. It's the 70th anniversary of D-Day, so they're commemorating with a run up the mountain where a lot of the soldiers from WW2 trained (same mountain they filmed Band of Brothers). Mile 3 is a 720 foot ascent at an average of…

I know people who swear by pickle juice. Haven't done it myself, but those who use it, as I mentioned, swear by it. Just sayin'...

Yes, it is. The same group of guys I run with do that silly stuff on our non-running days.

Oh, and I will throw in one other from about a month ago. Modified Murph, for time: 1 mile run 100 Push-ups 200 air squats 300 Sit Ups 1 mile run Finished in 48:39. Last in the group, but I finished. I struggle with push-ups, big time. I probably just need to start doing them every day. Most of those in the work-out were…

There's a handful of runners that I work with who are definitely what I would consider a step (or two...or three) above my capability. I normally run mid-week at an 8:00-8:15 pace, these guys routinely hit sub-7:00's. One of them (this guy: http://www.coachcawood.com/) is an absolute running beast. Two Thursdays ago, I was…

I have a Camelbak Delany II, it's a belt system with a single 24-ounce water bottle and a couple pockets for holding random junk. I only take it on runs where I know I'll be gone for at least an hour. My issue with the belt, and I've seen this in reviews for other belt systems, too, is that it moves around. A lot. Unless I…

Lunch time. Just finished, as a matter of fact. I hit the gym on my company's campus or I go run. Shower off then eat at my desk.

Get out of my car!!! Sync and I have the same conversations. It usually ends with me calling her a Mickey Mouse piece of **** (a la Sly Stallone in Demolition Man) and dialing manually.

Go Giants! Priorities, as I see them: OL, TE, pass-rushing DE, WR I would be thrilled with either Ebron (TE), Zach Martin (OT) or Taylor Lewan (OT)

Early last week in the middle of a tough workout, after squats and burpees, I went to do box jumps on a 24-inch box. I had done them before, just not completely leg-worn like I was at that time. First jump, barely cleared back before riding down the box on my shins. "OK, I got this." Second jump..."Oh, ****." Landed…
