  • Ironically - it works as well! I did SW but I found the massive fail when you come off it is it hasn't taught you portion control - which for me is my massive downfall!
  • Morning everyone! I only caught a bit of The Biggest Loser on Monday but I admit I did turn over when I saw the clip of that cake-bingy bit. I'm sorry, but what on earth is that trying to prove?! Wouldn't we all inhale as much free cake as we could if locked in a room with it?! I was shocked by the lack of weight loss…
  • HIIT is insanely good - I can burn 400 calories in 20mins, and my metabolism is raised for 48 hours afterwards. And I get a serious exercise after - I really recommend it as I'm getting far more results doing this and resistance work than I did doing 45 - 50mins on the x-trainer 4 times a week!
  • "without struggle, there is no progress"
  • A PT I follow on twitter says you can either work out hard, or work out longer, you can't do both - do the former! So I'd personally recommend shorter workouts where you can really get your heart rate up quickly (like High Intensity Interval Training) - but that's my own personal choice as I hate spending 90mins in the gym…
  • Hey, Funnily enough I have this heart rate monitor and asked the same qu when I first used it! You are able to set your own zone that you want to account for (user settings or something) and I looked up my zones for cardio workouts online.........that way I know how long I spent in the cardio zone. With calories, are you…
  • I did SW a couple of years ago and had quite a big loss, but then found as soon as I went back to semi-normal it all came back on plus more! My biggest problem with SW was the lack of portion control - being taught to eat as much as you want of free food definitely wasn't good for me. Saying that, I do still have SW…
  • Thank you! I think I was v puffy when I first measured which might explain the loss - we'll see next month! xx
  • I'm a v happy Lauren today! Lost 6.5lbs in a month, 3 inches from my stomach and 1.5 inches from my hips! Insane :noway: Sadly I've gotta make birthday treats for the office on Tuesday and I decided to make millionaire's shortbread as its my fav guilty pleasure and thought well it's one day, so why not? OMG it is so rich I…
  • Agreed - if people don't meet your deadline, it's their problem! Love to Rosy! xxx
  • Yeah the sugar isnt great, but if you want a chocolate fix I figure natural fruit sugar is far better than processed sugar in choccy bar...... My local waitrose has the full collection so I'm popping in there every week!
  • They are literally my favourite thing at the mo! I eat one about an hour before I go to the gym and feel fab! Going to hunt down my local Julian Graves this weekend and stock up on a few more =)
  • That is the cutest present ever I love it!! I'm fearing the mountain of cake that comes my way. One of my friends (who I love dearly) bakes us all a MASSIVE cake for our birthdays - seriously its huge - but never touches it because "she doesnt eat cake" - she's an enabler I tell you! xxx
  • Welcome Resh =) Have to share a pretty fantastic find with you all! Have you heard of Nakd bars? They're fab! They come in loads of different flavours (my fav at the moment is cocoa orange) and they are completely natural - made out of fruit, nuts, dates and thats normally it! Calorie wise they are around 120 - 150…
  • Morning everyone, Jain - well done on the 5lbs! It's Thursday woop! Spent last night planning what I'm doing for my birthday - originally Mum wanted take-out on Saturday, meal out on Tuesday, and then I'm eating out on Friday with work and having takeout with my girlies the following weekend! I could just see the calories…
  • Good luck lovely =) theres a great Team UK thread if you want some support from the UK specifically, but everyone is fab on here and will keep you on track and provide fantastic support =) xxx
  • Lesley1981 - ooooooh weddings!! How exciting!! 7 months is a good amount of time too I think, perfect for lots of walks as the weather (hopefully) improves - good luck! I'm going to the first wedding out of my group of friends in April and some of them I haven't seen in years so its an incentive to lose weight and get…
  • I know it is a bit quiet - I need a distraction from work so would like some posts please!! I'm feeling a bit blergh today - went to the gym Monday and Tuesday and just dont feel like its getting any easier. Been doing it for 3 weeks (2 routines, A and B, which I alternate) and I thought I might be able to see some…
  • I keep 2 litres at my desk and top up my glass whenever its empty. I've done 2.5 litres today and I'm hitting the gym tonight so should easily hit 4 litres by this evening!

  • I dunno which one I have but I LOVE mine! Only used it twice so far but its great for timing workouts and giving total calorie burn, which considering I do 20mins of resistance training is really good. I just need to learn how to set up the ranges for cardio and fat burning. Highly recommend using one though!
  • Sorry southerners, only maintained this week =( (but it is TOM - sorry boys for too much information there!). Will hopefully have an extra good week next week =) Rosy I'll message you this as well!! xxx
  • I had my body fat % done at the gym too and it was horrible! There are some calculators on websites so you can work it out and take the average? My scales say something completely different too so I went on a couple of websites and took the average (surprisingly they didn't differ too much from the gym one). Keep your chin…
  • Hmmm, as a northern numpty I shouldn't like you, but that is AMAZING well done!!
  • Morning everyone, and hello to all the newbies (I'm sure I'm still in this category as I've only been on here 2 weeks!). Just wanted to wish you all luck, and this is the best place to find support and succeed so I know you're going to be fantastic!! xxx
  • Morning everyone, Thank you to everyone with all their lovely comments after my rant yesterday. You are all fantastic!! Yesterday wasn't a great day, went out for dinner and rather than being conservative I ate exactly what I wanted (including a massive ice cream pudding). The calories were awful, but it was worth it! Back…
  • Thank you =) thanks to everyone whose posted lovely messages on here! Just had to get the rant out of my system (and check I wasn't the one out of order!). Feeling a bit more positive now and wanting to prove the nasty man wrong!! xxx
