My cardiologist told me to get the weight loss moving to cut out all fruit, sugar, carbs and eat chicken, fish and vegetables. He said the weight would fall off. What I understand is that BMR is the amount of calories your body needs to live, and TDEE is the amount of calories you use daily with your exercise etc. I have been told to do 20% below your TDEE to lose weight. Go to scoobysworkshop.com to use the BMR calculator. Hope this helps!

My doctor told me to cut out the sugar, even in fruit. Sugar in all forms raises insulin that stores it as fat. My advice would be more protein, less sugar and carbs. Good luck!
