I measure everything. I am pretty good at "eyeballing" it now, but I still don't trust myself. I have to know exactly how much I'm eating.

Hi there. There is a site that you can figure out your actual TDEE and your BMR. I will post the link below for you so you can double check. I used the info you provided. For your age and I made you moderately active (3-5 hrs of moderate exercise a week). So the results are: Your TDEE is 2365 calories a day (that is to…

I don't swing that way, but if you want I can flirt with you hehehe!

It reminds me of facebook sometimes too. I don't care how many friends I have on here as long as they are supportive. And mine are. I love them

Hi there. You definitely do not want to start an extreme diet. Even if those diets work (which are dangerous), most people end up gaining the weight back. I know we all want to lose weight and fast. I was one of those people looking for a quick fix just about 6 weeks ago. I then realized there is no quick fix and I had to…

Hey there. My name is Michelle. Feel free to add me. I am always looking for people who need support. I know I couldn't have done it without the people on MFP. Anyone can add me if they would like to :o)

Great that you are back! I sent you a friend request. Anything you need to help you be successful on this journey, please let me know.

We all feel like that at times. You've lost 9 pounds and that is something to be proud of. You sound like a wonderful person so lets start to get that confidence up

Watching your calorie intake is definitely the key, exercise is just a bonus. I have never been one to work out in the past, but once you start, you will want to exercise as much as you can. I am addicted now. I just got a treadmill about a week ago and it tells me how many calories I burn while walking. It doesn't matter…

Anyone who needs motivating, please feel free to add me.

I am so jealous

That looks yummy! I'm going to try this. Thanks :)

I am not a fish fan by all means, but I try to make it once a week. I haven't tried anything but talipa. Here is a recipe that I actually liked. This is broiling the fish. My husband likes his "harder" but loved the flavor. So if you like your fish "harder", than you can bake it with this coating. Serving size: 4 (4oz…

I miss my big macs so I am definitely try this recipe. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for all the info. I just got my treadmill yesterday and it also has a slot for the iFit. I was wondering if it was worth it. But it sounds like there are a lot of kinks to work out.

I feel bad because I'm on your friends list and I didn't even know your first name lol. Anyhow...anyone that wants to be pushed, let me know. My name is Michelle :)

Well, since you said it nicely, I will start using mine again :flowerforyou:

Agreed.

I am exercising, but I like to keep track of what I am doing. So no, I'm not using it right now.

Ok, I may have found something here, but you may want to double check using your heart rate monitor. Here is a website that describes the average calories burned on the total gym for a certain weight. It looks like they are considering the exercise calisthenic (vigorous). So just a thought....do your workout and log it…

I have the same problem. I bought mine last year and it is just taking up space because I don't know how to log it. I have googled it, and the only thing I have found is people suggested getting a heart rate monitor.. I am going to have to pick one up because I would love to know how many calories I can burn with a…

Awesome job! I can't wait to wear a size 10 again. I was frustrated the other day too because my scale hasn't moved in a week. I lowered my calories and exercising more. I was told to focus on the inches. I know I am losing inches because I can actually move my belt to a smaller hole. Also, if you are working out...muscle…

Funny you should post this. I was just asking about cheat days a couple days ago. I got a lot of useful feedback. I was told if you are going to cheat, make it a cheat meal not a whole day. Also, I feel as I am not strong enough for one yet. That is just me personally. I think you need to do what works for you. But you…

I am pretty new at this. I am glad that I am not the only one weighing myself on a daily basis. It is frustrating though because one day I will weigh one thing, the next day, I've gained a pound or two. Is it best to weigh yourself in the morning?? Oh yeah...and I am staying under my calories for the day, drinking plenty…

Exactly! I seen a profile pic of a woman yesterday in a bikini wanting to lose 20 pounds. She didn't look like she needed to lose any weight. I also seen a guy yesterday that his picture looked like it came straight out of a fitness magazine. And I have noticed people's nasty comments about healthy recipes.

I sent you a friend request :)

I am thinking differently just because I have never been this serious about weight loss and I am focused and determined. Also I have seen others on this site who has had success in losing weight along with their cheat days/meals.

I waitressed for a while, and let me tell you...it was a workout at times. I was always on the go. Anybody who hasn't done the job before doesn't understand. Others suggested you change your activity level to active, and I personally agree. Good luck, and don't get discouraged
-
Completely agree.

It is not completely impossible. I was diagnosed with a thyroid problem too about two years ago. I am on medication for it and I have lost 9 pounds in a little over two weeks. I thought once I got put on the medication, my weight issues would go away. That wasn't the case. I continued to gain weight and swore it was…
