  • Lisa-I don't think anything is out of the question at this point. You might have to go a little slower than you have been but I bet you CAN do a 20 minute run. Look at Troy! He turned into the road runner in only 4 short weeks!! W5W2 today. I've been off schedule since Thursday myself because everyone in my…
  • Diet coke is evil! I would start thinking about having one before I even rolled out of bed. I've given it up before but one sip and I would be hooked all over again. I felt sluggish, blah, and was always hungry when I drank it so much. I've been off it for about 20 days now and I'm still thinking about it. I feel better…
  • Ditch the scale and take your measurements instead. I did a full round of Insanity and my weight barely changed but my measurements changed A LOT. Scales are just evil.
  • Sounds wonderful! I think you'll be surprised with week 5. Go for it!
  • I run inside with a 2% incline to try to compensate some for being inside. I tried running outside with a stroller but a) 25 extra pounds is too much for me to shove out here on these windy country roads and b) I CAN'T run without moving my arms. I'm Italian...I can't even TALK without using my arms. LOL
  • Troy-You're doing an awesome inspiring job! Lisa-Hope you had a good dinner. Calibri-Just keep going. The first day is always the hardest for me and then I'm pleasantly surprised that it's easier the next time I run. W5D1 today for me. It went WAY better than I thought it would because I was half dead when I woke up this…
  • Good shoes make a huge difference. I hope it does for you too. Just take it easy and don't hurt yourself so you can keep going.
  • My cousin asked me to do a 5K with her on Thanksgiving. I'll only be week 8ish in the program. Scares me! Should I attempt it?
  • W4D3 done! Today seemed harder but my left calf was pretty tight to start out with and I'm most likely in the beginning stages of a cold like the rest of my sicko family. Still managed to hang in there but I'm not like Troy....no extra running for me! LOL Wesley-Jump on in! Every time I feel like giving up, I remind myself…
  • My 11 year old enjoyed it. My 6 year old was bored (but he's less of a tv watcher than the other one). My 2 year old liked the parts she managed to sit still for. For me it was just ok....
  • I like dark brown the best, followed by the purple!
  • W4D2 done! I noticed a big improvement from W4D1. I also noticed a huge improvement when I did my turbo fire workout yesterday. Keep running!
  • W4D2 done! Last time I really had to push myself and wanted to throw up when I was done. Today was MUCH easier. Still not a piece of cake for me but I could really see the difference! Woo hoo!! So excited!! Keep running!
  • Love that! Faery7-I was struggling with the end of week 3 but did ok on week 4. The part that was hard on week 3 was suddenly the easy part in week 4. Just keep chugging along!! Laura-check out www.runningintheusa.com. You can find all kinds of races around you.
  • I can't hear anything my kids are yelling at me from the top of the stairs when I'm on the treadmill. That keeps me on there!!
  • Those races look so cool. There was a Spartan Sprint very close to here a few weekends ago and I didn't even know about it. It's on my to do list for next year.
  • I've been through it as well. Taking care of your emotional health and your girls is your first priority. Just do your best to get through each day. Eventually each one gets easier. One of the things that helped me the most was figuring out what I was going to do for me. Ok the path has changed...where do we live, how am I…
  • I hope your knee feels better! Maybe you need to rest it for a while. I bought a little brace that keeps your knee cap from moving around so much when you run. I used to pound my left foot harder when I ran. So far this time I'm holding it together. W4D1 done! If you'd have told me last week that this week I would have…
  • Welcome to the group. You were so close to the end!! I'll be dancing when I get through week 6!!
  • You got this! It's a mental game.
  • Great job!! :drinker:
  • I'm doing the hybrid of both. I LOVE them!
  • You can loan books with the kindle too.
  • Just got a kindle for my birthday. My sister ordered it through her account so it came with all of her books already on it. You can get free books for you kindle. If you "like" frugal coupon living on facebook it reminds you of them. Here's an example:…
  • I'm taking the baby steps route. First I'm doing the C25K program. I just learned about this website which has all kinds of training programs on it. http://www.halhigdon.com/
  • W3D3 done! It was MUCH easier than W3D1 even at a faster pace. I'm slightly intimidated by W4 but I'll worry about that on Wed! Keep at it everyone!!
  • I'm so sorry for all your going through. I can say divorce was like a death for me. There's a healthy dose of denial, then a whole lot of grief, then a giant helping of anger, and then it didn't really matter any more. I was remarried to a great man within a couple of years. It took a while but after all the divorce dust…
  • W3D2 Done! My legs are still tight but I did it!
  • Everyone's got their own speed. I wouldn't worry about it. Just do what you can do! Right now my brain is telling me to go do W3D2 but my legs are protesting. It was parents-play-kids night at soccer. I could keep up with them but between the sudden stops/starts and the uneven field (how they don't kill themselves on it, I…
