I don't think you need to go "cold turkey" from sugar, OP... just cutting out sweetened drinks will have a huge effect. Fruits and the occasional treat haven't harmed my weight loss one bit.

The skin tightening lags behind the fat loss. Even if it doesn't tighten up 100%, it will definitely tighten up at least partway. Just give it time, cocoa butter, and strength training. :smile:

Ha, no. Your Dr would only allow you to lose weight if you are obese, and possibly not even then. I'm allowed to lose weight, but I'm eating 2000+ cals a day. With the little you have left to lose, you certainly should not diet and assuredly will gain weight while pregnant.

As soon as I reach my goals I'm going to quit lifting immediately because I definitely want to lose all of the strength and muscle tone I've worked hard to maintain. I also will stop taking the stairs because they make my calves all bulky.

This takes years upon years of specialized diet and lifting routines and bulk/cut cycles. NO ONE is going to bulk up accidentally no matter how long they lift for. NO ONE.

I've lost a good deal of weight by dividing the packaged meat weight, using the measuring cup as a scoop and generally being relaxed about measuring things. If my weight loss stalls or I gain, maybe I'll get more neurotic about it. Until then I'm good.

Unless you're planning on doing several bulk/cut cycles, probably over the course of years, and working in the hypertrophy range you're not going to abruptly inflate into a she Hulk.

Cutting calories to a reasonable deficit (TDEE-20%), adding in healthy snacks to reduce snack urges, taking up an exercise routine, and really most importantly loving myself and forgiving myself for being so fat. :smile: Coming to terms with my weight and self and letting go of the comfort/guilt I attached to food was hard…

It is frustrating! I've been losing weight steadily for a year now, if I was on 1200 cals I would have crashed and burned probably 10 months ago.

For the lulz, I just put my info into MFP and got 1260. My BMR is over 1800 and I lose 1-2 lb a week eating 2000. Yeah no ty. People -- please figure out your actual TDEE. Eat more. Be happier.

Get some half-sized sandwich bags and set aside single servings of "bad" snacks so you can have one or two a day without being deprived or tempted by the whole package. If you're eating an actual single serving size the calories and stats in junk food is really not going to make that much of an impact on your day.
