Exactly what I was thinking!!! When you discuss your diet, or dieting, with your daughter, you know how she's going to react... so DON'T. Instead, talk to us HERE. Blogging is a great way to get things out and off your chest. Come where there is support and positive feedback. Try using the above posters suggestions in…

I'd say you eat really well. The most important thing is to be consistent with your diary. Keep documenting, make sure you drink your water, and get in your exercising. You're probably not going to drop 20 pounds in a week... although I have no idea what you have to lose. Everything good takes time... and patience. Use…

You can do it!!! Make smart decisions. Less is more. Think of portions the size of your fist and not portions that go over the side of your plate. ;) If there's a salad that's pre tossed with salad dressing, you can always as for a salad with dressing on the side. Then you can pick a smarter low cal dressing. Stay away…

How GREAT that must feel!!!! Congratulations!!! Awesome work!!!!!!!

I'm glad you started this thread and I'll be interested to see what people say. We bought a pair for our 11 year old son and he loves them... but that's a whole 'nother animal. :) A friend of mine said she LOVES hers... comfortable and supportive all in one. Not sure about how they hold up though. I can say from my son…

Serves 4... but could really serve up to 6. Warms up well too. Regarding the butter... you could easily cut it back to 1/4 Cup.

This happens all the time!!!! I find myself in the same situation a few times a week. I TRY to watch the portions of the bad stuff and chew slowly savoring the taste of each bite. When I go too far, I exercise harder that night to offset my bad days. :) Just don't get too down on yourself when it happens. Good Luck!!!!

I lost 3.4 pounds... I was actually surprised. I took this challenge because I was STUCK in the same place I always get to in weight loss. I could never get over that hump. So, although I'm disappointed that after four weeks, I only lost 3.4 pounds, I'm happy because I am now closer to my goal than I've ever been. I…

I can't wait to weigh in on Tuesday! A little scared too..... I know I haven't gained weighr, but I'm worried that I may have only lost a pound.

I have been there too!!!! Actually currently there. I posed these same questions and one thing I was told is to go back into your settings and update your weight. This will adjust your goals. I didn't know this before. See if this happens with you and then adjust your intake accordingly.

I love your question! I have been following whatever the goal tells me my NET calorie goal should be. BUT... I've seen people posting about how this isn't the way to do it. And it's possibly why I've been stuck lately. I have given up on weighing myself for the month of February. I've been following my calorie goals and…

I like the idea of putting it in the closet... AND with the batteries out. My scale sits right outside the shower and it's tempting to get on it right before I step into the shower. I'm going to put it in the linen closet tonight so it will beeeeee.... OUT OF SIGHT, OUT OF MIND!!!! :) Stay strong everyone!!!!! :)

I need to do this! I am a scale *kitten*. I admit it. I have reached my plateau and when I look at the scale each morning (I KNOW) it is demotivating to see little change... 2/10s point either way, give or take a nother 2/10s or so. My clothes fit better and I'm on the right track. I will hold off weighing in until March…

Welcome! You'll find great friends and support on here. No matter why the weight came on, it's more important to focus on why it should come off. Here's to a healthier YOU!!!! Good Luck! Kelli

Great advice everyone!! This is why I love MFP!!!!!! I have gone in and changed my goals. I didn't know to do this so thank you for the suggestion. I do mix up my workouts some and have gone more intense lately... that's why being stuck is so frustrating. BUT I will not give up!!! This time I will do it. :)

Oh, hallmarkgirl, you're in for a treat. There are TOO many good places to eat!!!! :) as MaySunrise points out! lol The trick is knowing before you go in. For example, we go to Buffalo Wild Wings ALL THE TIME. I know that if I get the grilled chicken sandwhich with no dressing, use a little mayo, get a side salad with low…

Never forget your water goal!!!! It's very important to stay hydrated. And if you've had a high sodium day, you need even more to wash that out of your system. :) Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the rule is that you should drink 8 oz of water (1 Cup) for every 20 pounds you weigh. I know there's some…

Omaha, NE... I came across MyFitnessPal on my Android phone. I was trying to find a calorie counter to start counting my calories again. Because I want to start getting more active again, this will be perfect! Good Luck to everyone!!!! Stay warm! :)
