Under 40% is low? Wow. Oh ok, then it's low carb. I eat so much fruit and veggies and even potatoes (which I didn't really eat before Paleo) so I don't see it as low carb.

I used to think that it was because I was overweight, but now I'm at an ideal/normal weight range and I still sweat a lot. Even in winter walking to work, I'll have sweaty underarms. I have no idea why it is but nothing seems to work. I think it's actually gotten worse drinking extra water. I don't eat a lot of sodium, so…

Yes it is. When I first started working out (or when I start to increase weight) I found that I'd put on a few pounds for several days after. Naturally I assumed that I had built muscle in those few days (because it is JUST that easy), but it's actually water that your muscles soak up to help with healing (I don't know the…

Hoping for one day to be able to do a full fledged taste test between Five Guys and In & Out to decide burger supremacy. Haven't had In & Out since June though so too hard to tell now. I do know every time I have a burger somewhere that is supposed to be the "best burger in Toronto", I end up disappointed.

I try for around 1000 calories each night for dinner. Most of those 1000 calories are pretty healthy too.

Where is it writen that Paleo has to be low carb? As long as the carbs came from the ground/trees without processing (like bread/flour) they're fine. In fact my carb intake went UP when I went full fledged Paleo for a few months. I'd still be Paleo but I'm maintaining now and don't need really want to lose any more fat…

I don't think we had that offer in Canada. Booooo. If that were for Five Guys, I'd eat the whole five of them myself, one by delicious one. Or stack them on top of each other and learn how to unhinge my jaw. BTW - healthy weight here, and every Sunday afternoon for the last few months, I've had a Five Guys cheeseburger &…

I've noticed that I've slimmed down a lot and controlled my hunger much more not eating breakfast and eating my calories later in the day. Even a full on protein breakfast at 8am had me looking for snacks two hours later. Now my first meal is at around 1pm and my waist and stomach size has gone down even though I'm eating…

I eat twice a day and just had a 1400 calorie dinner. Doesn't hinder weight loss/management at all.

I've lost much more weight than my husband, and he was much larger than I was starting off. He doesn't seem to lose "weight", but he's lost a lot of fat around his stomach, but his weight is within 10 lbs, and I've lost almost 80 total in the year and half since we started.

Weight gain was the least of my problems on Depo (and yes, there was a fair amount). Full out bleeding out of nowhere with zero predicibility. Eventually had to keep extra pants at work. Waking up in the middle of the night in full on sobbing fits. No idea why I was crying. Hated the idea of anyone even touching me.…

I hope he alternates arms, or he's going to look really, REALLY silly.

I'm 5'5", and had planned on stopping at 130, but I've lost another 5 pounds on maint and I don't look scary skinny. My arms and legs are very muscular (built up some nice muscles on maint doing heavy lifting). My collar bone and hips are sharp and pointy though. Just wish I could gain a little in my hands -- those are the…

I've lost over 80 pounds since Feb 2010, and my skin looks tight and fine. I did stop and stay around 155 for a few months though at the end of last year to kind of give my skin time to catch up, and then lost the 30 extra pounds on MFP (hence the weight on my ticker). ETA: Heavy weights have kept me out of a plateau…

I walk by the Financial District every morning! I can't bring myself to wear running shoes yet with my work clothes, especially skirts. One of these days! I can still walk pretty fast in my boots though. Just wish the other people on the sidewalk either moved out of the way or kept a half decent pace!

I work out once per week (heavy weights) and my cardio is walking to and from work every day (almost 5 miles), and I take in at least 1800 calories a day and have kept losing even though I'm at maintenance, so I might need to up it. I don't like to add my walking because I've been doing it for so long, I figure my body has…

I craved pizza all day long, but instead of caving for what would likely be several slices of meaty goodness, I bbq'd the steak from my fridge and had with a buttload of veggies. And I felt good about my choice. Until your post. :grumble: Should have gone with the pizza.

I eat two meals a day and a snack at around 5pm before I leave for home. I take in around 1800 calories a day. First meal is at noon (around 500 calories) snack is around 300 and dinner is around 1000. I've been in maintenance since May and have lost inches since I've started eating that way, but have stayed within the…

Big fan of 16/8 feeding. Had two steaks for dinner tonight (with a half a plate of veggies!) and deciding if I want some dessert before my feeding window closes. Can't believe how much slimmer my stomach, waist & arms are since I've ditched the 6 small meals (which always made me hungrier!).

My arms are the last places I've lost weight, and would be the first place I'd gain it. There's nothing you can do to make yourself lose weight there, but I recommend lifting heavy weights and working the triceps. They won't give instant results, and for a while, they might even make your arms look larger (and add extra…

I wash my face with honey and use a couple of drops of almond oil as a moisturizer. At 35, I still regularly get carded and I seldom get pimples since I started.
-
I never understood that either. Do you know how much bacon I could get instead of a soggy, greasy piece of bread??
-
I eat around 50% fat, 35% protein and 15% carbs (all from fruits & veggies) and I feel fantastic. I'm at my goal and have stayed within the 5lb window since May. I've lost several inches from my waist, stomach & arms since May, but stayed in the same weight area, which is what I wanted.

How can food be both tan and colourless? When did tan stop being a colour? FYI - I've gained more of my muscle mass after I STOPPED eating 6 times a day. I'm not saying that' WHY I gained the mass, but I did.

That's exactly what happens to me. I can't wear them -- even after losing the weight -- because they make my stomach look rounder and because my waist & hips are smaller, I look pregnant. I've convinced all those "baby bumps" the stars are shown with are the result of Spanx.

I love it. I eat between 1pm and 8-9pm every day and it's fantastic. I was so sick of eating every few hours and spending hours each week planning out meals. Now I just bring my lunch and a container of almonds (we have free apples at work) and I'm good for the day until I have dinner with my husband -- and can usually…

Good call - apparently if you eat 100g worth of fibre from chips, cookies & pies, then you can't get cancer! (10g = 10% lowered risk) That's what I got out of it anyways.

I FINALLY found some yesterday, so I'm going to be adding a few tablespoons with dinner tonight. I'm thinking it'd be relatively easy in a protein shake, but other than using it to fry with, I'm having trouble thinking of other ways to consume it. Going to look up some coconut rice receipes that use coconut oil.

I suggest reading Wheat Belly. Fantastic book, and there are a lot of people with intolerances that didn't know they had them. My mother had arthritis in her legs so bad that she couldn't get out of bed in the mornings without having two Tylenol. She cut all grains out two months ago, and around 10 days after she cut them…

This is exactly what I've been doing for the last three weeks and it's fantastic. I HATED eating every couple hours when I wasn't hungry (or worse, getting hungry BECAUSE I was eating every couple of hours). I eat from 1pm to 8pm every day and the rest of the time, I don't. I don't count calories (which is good because I…
