Agree with all that has been said so far, target 1lb a week weight loss, don't go in guns blazing, reducing calorie intake down to the amount a sparrow can consume in a day. The biggest hurdle we (and i say we in our 50's have to over come), is to kick start that metabolism again, unfortunately at our ages it slows down,…

I have completed Insanity, and the advice i would give is stick at it, work through the pain (it goes after a few days) work to your own pace and you will reap the benefits. yes you sweat, yes you get out of breath, but you will find out that after a few weeks your body recovery rate becomes better, you feel better and…

I think this is a good indicator of you daily activity, but that it, i don't read to much into the exact calorie counts,, thats what i use my MFP for. I always data input the…

Ive completed Insanity now, did the world of good for me, got me fitter than i have been in a long time, weight loss was steady averaging 1lb a week with an average diet and burning approx. 1000 cal more than my intake. I plateau'd with about 3 weeks to finish the programme, so have now started the Charlean Extreme one to…

3 meals a day for me, my daily routine doesn't allow for 3 snacks aswell, I mainly calorie count and keep the balance between consumption and calories burned in harmony, try to burn 1000 calories above my intake whatever i eat works for me. As Lacroyx says do what works for you.

Ive just started the recovery week, (Week 5), im aged 50, and still going strong. Listen whats said on the programme and you cant go wrong, listen to your body and as Shaun T keeps saying check your heart rate and you should be fine once you get over the aches and pains of the first few days... Good luck

Started in January and at first was loosing the usual 2lbs per week, now it seems to be more 1 lb a week, still watching the calories, but am a guy and always find it hard to eat the right stuff, never been good at preparing food for the day :-(. Converted a section of my garage into a gym, so trying to keep to regular…

Hi, been going at this now since January, ever since I modernised a section of my garage and turned it into a gym. Weight was dropping off nicely until last couple of weeks and now seemed to have stalled. my biggest problem is i think i keep letting my body go into starvation mode (too much exercise, not enough calories).…
