  • Lol - I would say that was a good workout Carl! I did get in another 3.5 miles walking yesterday. Dogs were so wound up it was a pretty face pace which was good. Did my circuit training workout this morning and may get on the stationary bike later - helps keep the hip loose as long as I don't push too much. Have a great…
  • Humph - up .5 to 189 but I can't say I'm surprised . Got off track a bit later in the week and too much sodium last night so I think I I just need to get back on track now that everyone is home. Smithelly - great attitude! Keep it going! Y'all rock!
  • Happy Friday all! Sorry I have been missing the past few days. Work has been crazy busy and will stay that way for awhile. Guess I shouldnt complain though. Hubby and daughter got home from the trek from the East Coast yesterday. HIp is fairly sore still from my rides Tuesday and Wednesday (think I overdid it on Tuesday)…
  • Unexepectedly took Monday off - got home to find my nieces waiting for me for food. I know they thought they were being good but - I really would have rather worked out. Oh well. i did manage a good workout yesterday. Did 30 mins of strength training - then rode 9 miles. Hip is a bit sore today so we'll see what I get to…
  • Bizgirl26 - Glad your calf is feeling better! I rode 15 miles yesterday. The one thing I noticed or think I noticed about the app I use is it does not take in to account hills! It measures average speed and let's just say, I am not going up some of the hills as fast as I go down or on the flat but that''s ok. I also rode…
  • I'm pretty happy. Weighed this morning and I'm down another 1.5 lbs!!! Weight as of 6/14 188.5 . Keep on keeping on !
  • Yesterday I got an easy 8 miles riding in. It was very comfortable. A light cardio workout this morning and I'll get a bit more in later. Doing chores and watching the World Cup and the US Open. Have a great day!!!
  • Carl that's awesome! I have riding hubby's bike since mine still needs some work. My road bike needs some work and I just don't quite have enough confidence back for that anyway.
  • Love this - good for you
  • I love this! I have to admit my Fitbit keeps me accountable with steps and distance. I have to watch the calories as it does not always reset that for some reason. I use my phone a lot for workouts too. Competitive? wouldn't understand that LOL - clearly kidding on that front. Go get em!
  • So I'm just going to say that when i work long hours like I did yesterday and get home tired - I need to make sure I have more in my refrigerator than left over pizza or pasta. I actually wasnt too bad last night but man, I'm so not used to eating anything "heavy" that late at night. Had pasta with some veggies but I had…
  • For Wednesday - was able to get some miles in walking and then 45 mins of circuit training. I'm planning a ride after work but havent had much sleep so let's see how that goes. You all are kill'n it! Keep it going
  • How's the calf? You may be able to do some cycling - stationary most likely because putting stress on the calf is not something you want to do.
  • For me I simply know how much better I feel. Especially now that I'm getting back in to an actual routine. For me, I discover that if I don't do something, I actually miss it. Being in Southern California it's rare that the weather will preclude any type of workout - except maybe heat in the summer. I get a tad obsessive…
  • Evening all! Some great stuff going on here! I like it! Took yesterday off to celebrate my 24th wedding anniversary with hubby. Then put him on a Flight to Boston @ 6am this morning to help drive our oldest back to LA. Tonight I was able to ride 11 miles. I managed 2 hills that at least to me were pretty significant so I'm…
  • Good for you! Enjoy your time!
  • Today played 18 holes of golf - we took a cart but could have probably walked. I also took the puppies out for a bit - couple of miles. Tomorrow I plan to get at least some riding in I hope
  • Wt as of 6/8 - 190 I'll take it
  • Got home from work yesterday to discover a flat on my bike :-(( Didnt have anything to fix it and getting to the cycle shop at that point wasnt an option. So instead. Took the puppies out for a good walk - 3miles and did 30 mins on the spin bike which given my normal pace was an additional 2.5-3 miles :-)) Did 30 mins of…
  • Now that's motivating. I think I might have to get on my Bike later as well
  • Yesterday was a rest day for me. off to get some steps in at work and plan a ride tonight when I get home. Pups would prefer a walk lol but I need some work.
  • Dang! I'm tired just reading this
  • Yay Carl! Smirnoff - Love it! I still need my second cup of coffee btw but that was a good chuckle to start the day! Yesterday was a rest day but plan a good ride after work since its not too hot. The stopped doing early bird parking in my building (if you live in one of the major metro areas, you completely understand…
  • Nicely done everyone! Last night I rode 9.95 miles on my bike! I was pretty psyched. Wanted to ride longer but my husband is just starting to ride again (this is someone who used to ride everywhere) and he had played golf yesterday. I think if I had realized I was so close to 10 miles I would have gone around the block…
  • 6/2 - 4 miles walked. 45 mins Circuit Training. I'm sore but plan to get on my bike tonight - assuming hubby gets a bit of tuning on it done
  • Every bit counts! Way to go
  • Ditto hirstri! I work in an office where we have a kitchen that ALWAYS has snacks in it. I actually do a bit better when it's sweets because that's not my problem. It's when they bring in the lunches or other snacks for meetings. Everyone here wants to go out for lunch and they never want to go somewhere to get a salad or…
  • Once upon a time I didn't drink nearly as much water as I should. My last round of weight loss which was about 20 yrs ago, I learned to drink it with alittle lemon. I also drank out of a lot of water bottles vs glasses - mostly because I was exercising. Now, I drink water all the time. Always have a bottle with me - these…
