Thank you for sharing this! I had to comment so that I can come back and read this again !!

Just for today I will track what I eat, follow my plan and move!!

Keeping! This is right on!! :flowerforyou:

I've spent a few weeks backsliding into old habits. Turns out logging, logging, logging is a key for me! I'm refocusing, and moving ahead. Want to do it together? I'll be your MFP friend!

Thanks for the pep talk. It's hard to admit when I'm heading the wrong direction, but being honest about it is progress in itself. You all are absolutely right. I have been working hard, and I deserve more than the opportunities that I've allowed to pass by in the past. I think a new short term goal is in order. May 12th…

I like the previous posters' advice. DON'T go full bore, and set your goals to 2lbs a week weight-loss immediately. You'll be too hungry, and you'll set yourself up for failure. We didn't get here in a month, and it's going to take a life change that you can live with permanently to take it off, and more importantly to…

Try tracking it before you eat it. Pre-log your food, and watching those calories mount up *before* you put them in your mouth, makes them taste much less sweet. I've gotten to the point unless it's *awesome*, it quickly loses it's appeal if I know what it's going to 'cost' me.

you have enough on your shoulders Quitting will make it worse. Not only will you have the negative consequences of the food to your health, but you'll have much BIGGER negative impact to your feeling of strength and self-pride in what you've achieved. Good luck!
-
Did it! I'm 2 wins 1 loss now. How are you doing?

Last night I succumbed to both triggers. I came down to watch tv...and chaos ensued. Too many baked pita chips....their salty goodness turned into a big irritation with myself. Normally, I'd fade into a "I knew I couldn't do this", but that's not who I'm becoming. So right now, I have one win and one loss. I'm going to…

Add me! I had the same starting point!

In bed ignoring the fridge!

I have a high stress job, and I've realized that it's not going to change. "I" have to change. This morning, I was going to blow, but I decided that I didn't have time to NOT get away from the building and go for a walk. I went out and quickly pounded out a mile, and came back in a better frame of mind. Good luck, and keep…

Great idea to make it a challenge! I'm all in!

This!! Being nauseated after having too much junk food is NOOOOO way to indulge. Entirely ruins all the fun.
-
Oh honey - that's just the negative voices taking you down. You look like a model - most models are tall just like you!!! You are very, very cute, and I'm so jealous! You are much more attractive that you are seeing through your filters! Be kind - right now you aren't getting much sleep (I'm sure), and it can really get to…

Feeling sad.

I like it! Let's do it together!

Stands up and claps!!!! Right there with you!

^^^^^ this ^^^^^^^

I'm still NOT quitting!! I realized that the feeling I get after exercising is so much better than having some downtime with the TV. That's a break-through.....I've always rewarded myself in unhealthy ways!!
-
This!!!!!!!!! I could have written this word for word. I realized I'll never be perfect. But? I can be a LOT better than I've ever been before, and if I don't give myself the chance to do a good job *most* of the time instead of *all* of the time, I'll never feel better

I'm tired of starting over. I like the my new-found gift of knowing I'm strong enough to do this forever. Baby steps to a life change, not a momentary diet.
-
that's awesome on both accounts!

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ this one for the win!!!! Love that! Push through with self-confidence of what you are achieving - if you don't, it's just too hard to keep moving forward.

I've been using it in place of mayo on sandwiches! Still gives a creamy texture and adds moisture but is so much better for me!

Welcome! We honeymooned near Calgary! It's such a beautiful place!
