I also have a Polar HRM ( FT4 ) a lot of people have them on here. Might need to re adjust calories :) -making sure you're eating enough or not too much in accordance to your activity levels. I usually re *kitten* my calories and macros every couple weeks or change them a bit.

Well, ask yourself? Do you REALLY want it? Yes? Then all I can think of is that you seem to have an all or nothing mindset. I agree with the 1500. See how you feel after a week or two. You may have to make adjustments from there. I personally had to do a lot of experimenting before I found what worked for me.

Get a laser pointer. Make him chase it, can burn upwards of 200 cal / hour. ;)

It's just gum, if you're using it to prevent yourself from pigging out on other stuff you're fine. If you're really THAT concerned over 5 calories, do 20 jumping jacks.
