Thank you all! I joined the group on Facebook too! It's nice to have such a great support system! I've had a great 2 days, stayed just under my calories and did my first 2 workouts. I'll be doing the challenge starting on March 5th as well. This is just the kick in the pants I need... it's amazing how even after 2 days, I…

I'm in! Due to the holidays and major work projects, I've slacked the past 3 months. This is just the kick in the pants I need. I want to lose 8 pounds for the month... plan to go to a 1 hour Zumba class 2 days a week, add another day of cardio and 3 days of weights. Will post starting weight and measurements on Wednesday!…

I have 2 work computers... one desktop, 1 laptop. I keep MFP up on my laptop all day long. I swear, I work the majority of the time. But sometimes my eyes need a break from Excel spreadsheets and I take that time to log my food and check out a post or two!

I'm very disappointed in how I've been slacking lately. So much personal stuff... this week alone I hit a deer with my car, my son was the object of some ridiculous bullying at school, our furnace died and my work load has quadrupled. I'm frustrated by life in general and have been hitting the Halloween candy way too hard.…

First of all, Brandi: hope you are feeling better and it turns out to be nothing serious. I had an okay week. Was under almost every day on calories. Got in some good exercise, not necessarily that kind I had originallly planned for my goals, but I did try one new 10lb extreme, which was the core workout. It was tough.…

I recapped my week in the post above... I feel the week went pretty well, and the scale was down 2lbs this morning! And that was even after dinner at Olive Garden last night (my son's choice, it as a reward) and I knew that the even though I made pretty good choices, face it, the sodium level was bound to affect me. I am…

January 3rd will be my 1 year anniversary on MFP! This week went much better than I expected. I had major project deadlines and extreme stress at work. I ate well, under my calories almost every day, and those I wasn't weren't over by much (less than 100). I reached my goal of 3 10lb Extreme Workouts. I have done 1…

You look amazing! Congratulations on your hard work and success! What an inspiration! Keep it up!

Great work everyone! For the record, how long does the challenge run?

Happy weigh in day everyone! I was down 1lb this week, my first loss in about 7 weeks. Not much, but happy to see the scale starting moving again. I had lost focus for a while but was happy to maintain my loss. I also got a toning workout in last night and tonight's plan is to do a 40 minute cardio workout. In addition to…

Hello everyone! Hope you all had a fantastic weekend! I definitely did as I spent Saturday morning shopping for new clothes and yesterday cleaning out closets and packing away "fat clothes". I no longer have any clothing that is too small for me! This challenge is exactly what I needed... a reminder of why I'm doing this…

If you have Comcast On Demand or access to Exercise TV, there is a 10lb Extreme Cardio Kickboxing workout with Chris Freytag that I just tried today and really loved it. Burned 395 calories in 40 minutes. Avg heart rate was 142. High intensity, but relatively love impact. Good luck!

If anyone likes Kickboxing, I found a great workout On Demand (Comcast) today. It's Cardio Kick Boxing with Chris Freytag. I really like her. I've done sculpting workouts with her before but this was great cardio. 40 minutes of high intensity but low impact (just right for my knees!) workout. My heart rate average 142, but…

That's awesome!!! Nice work!!

I'm not having the greatest week... I'm so crazy busy at work and stressed beyond belief. It's leaving me mentally exhausted. I have been working from home at night and not fitting in any exercise, except on Monday. I'm hoping that the weekend lets me unwind (though I will still be working from home). I am MAKING A…

Hi! My name is Melanie and I'm 38 years old, mother of 2 boys, ages 8 and almost 16. They are the center of my universe! I joined MFP in January and have lost 42 lbs during that time. I haven't lost any weight in about the past 6 weeks however. I've been crazy busy with work and my kids and haven't been as dedicated to my…

I walk on days that it's not too hot. I usually try to get in at least 45 minutes. I also do pushups against the sink in the bathroom or standing leg lifts if no one is in the bathroom. I also find myself doing little movements in my seat. Like isometric holds by contracting my stomach muscles or just kind of tightening my…

I basically did the same thing... worked out nearly every day for the past 5 months. I did alternate cardio with weights, but I guess it still was too much. Now my body has rebelled. My knees in particular. So I have to slow down. I"m not happy about it. But I will learn a lesson from it. Once I'm back at full capacity, I…

In 18 weeks, I lost 30lbs. Nothing fancy, just counting calories, increasing my movement... in short, being accountable and active (shout out to the awesome AAA Fitness group I am part of). The support here is great. I find a solid, motivating support system does wonders! You can do it too!!! Good luck!

It's not just the guys who will be missing it.... I'm desperately depressed... because it means no Fantasy Football either! :grumble: :explode:

I use the whole seeds and sprinkle them on my cereal every morning. I use a teaspoon and a half, but I think you can have up to 2 Tbsp a day safely. Good luck!

Wow, you look great! :)

Very motivational! You look great! Keep up the good work!

You look great! Very inspiring! Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work!

You look fantastic! What an inspiration you are! Good job!

I do the same but a dash of lemon juice, salt and pepper. Don't overcook. Only takes a few minutes!

I created my own custom workout for this and I just use the final time and calories burned that is reported at the end of every session. Hope that helps!

I just got my new Polar FT7 in the mail yesterday. I love it so far. I got it for a pretty good price on Amazon (it was under $100). And I really like the idea of the accurate reading because I did a workout on Sunday that gave me credit for 621 calories, whereas the HRM said it was only 362 or something like that. It lets…

My carpal tunnel is 1000x improved! I have hardly had any numbness over the past 3 weeks. Before that I was in nearly constant pain and always had tingling in my fingers.
