  • - 10%, -30%, -40% heck you'll lose weight on -5% of that! I read somewhere that the average woman (age 30) eats only 10 calories extra per day which equals roughly 1 lb per year. - that can add up over the years, just like -10 calories per day could... Basically you NEED to do whatever will show results so you'll stay…
  • Not a vegan, but converting most of my diet to plant based. cut out meats and dairy, but still been having the occasional egg.
  • Say your daily calorie limit is 2000. M 2000 T 1800 W 1900 T 2300 F 1900 S 2000 S 2100 Or M 2000 T 2000 W 2000 T 2000 F 2000 S 2500 S 2000 Either way is fine. It's not like your body resets after each day - doing week to week or day to day is an easier way to track. I prefer spiking or changing the calorie intake around so…
  • Take your pick. Yes or. No both are right depending who you ask.
  • I see a HUGE problem right off the bat... You say you find yourself eating the cheese off a pizza slice while eating a salad... Don't just remove things from your diet - replace them with other healthier options. Example - if you would normally have a salad, meat, or pasta for dinner, then having a slightly bigger salad…
  • BMR on MFP seems to be a few hundred off (on the lower side) than most other BMR calculators (excluding Muscle&Strength.com which are 1000 higher than the rest). I am thinking about changing my calorie limit or at the very least adding a cheat day - where I'll still eat clean, just spike calorie intake by 500-800+ calories…
  • I was... Had a bunch of Kale & some frozen veggies. Keep some leafy greens for this very reason.
  • Beautiful(y) said!
  • Reported for reporting
  • Get rid of all processed sugars, eat only 2 servings of fruit a day, and up the veggie intake! Sugar can prevent fat loss, but chances are it's not the only thing- limiting it can't hurt though!
  • FYI - this thread has a Troll power level of OVER 9000!!! Good job at creating a thread that was sure to be hijacked by the people you were talking about. This is why it's best to ignore them!
  • Who doesn't not like black people? Honestly... ;)
  • If either one of you reported either one of those posts (I assume the first one was just joking) then you both deserve to be berated for that. *RUNS TO TELL MOMMY THEY ARE BEING MEAN TO EACH OTHER AND TELLING ON EACH OTHER****
  • If someone is going to give that much power over someone else (especially online) then maybe they should limit where they search on the web. There is a point where people are extremely rude and meaning to be hurtful, then there are people on here... If you can't handle a little ribbing every now and then, turn off your…
  • yes... it was designed as a garnish! Specially designed to garnish plates- mother nature is a thinker!
  • Many people think that disagreeing is "trolling". Also many are tired of repost after repost. Completely different than "trolling".
  • If you're trying to lose fat, replace them if you're hungry. Your body will tell you what you need. Make sure it's hunger and not boredom tho. drink a few glasses of lemon water first.
  • I've done them all, but there are some risks associated with the low carb high protein diet. If you must, add more veggies- but looks like you don't need to change anything. http://www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/high-protein-low-carbohydrate-diets
  • Sounds like product placement in that post just a bit...
  • I believe it does matter. Like not eating high sugar/carb anytime before bed (eating heavy protein has shown to increase the amount of REM sleep when I tracked it with ZEO). I tend to follow the nutrient consumption as described by VEGA - especially on workout days. That has helped me recover faster from workouts. Your…
  • Not to be rude- but I'm sure it'll come off as such... Use the search feature on this site - it's been a highly debated topic. You're in good company though - as 90% of these threads are in need of using the search feature
  • I like cheese for the taste, but our bodies DO NOT NEED milk or dairy for calcium. However if you remove it, you just need to be slightly more aware what veggies will give you enough - and eating acid forming foods doesn't help with the bloods PH - which results in remove calcium stores from the bones I believe to adjust
  • ^ this. All low carb diets I've been on, I've gained them right back. Make small life changes one at a time. You didn't gain all that fat in 3 months, don't try to remove it all in 3 months either. Make changes, and change those into life habits.
  • Lets say for a moment that the calorie counters being used are not 100% accurate. This is where you need to listen to your body. If after a few days of HUGE amounts of calorie deficit & you are feeling sluggish, you'll know to increase. Your body is your best indicator of all - it's how you process the information and what…
  • Start with eating half back, and see how you feel. If it's from weight lifting then yes - if it's from cardio - then maybe not. I try not to, but when I am real hungry or tired, I will eat half back. Try and see what works for you - but give it time, whatever you try, make sure you stick with it a while to see if it's…
  • I don't eat back all the calories i've burned during my weight loss phase. Maybe eat half back if you're real hungry. But make sure it's hunger and not boredom. drink 2-3 glasses of water first then decide how much you want to eat!
  • http://skeptoid.com/episodes/4127 not as bad as it was made to be - especially in the amounts you're using.
  • I have really heavy duty bands, Tower 200 & some dumbbells. They will give any strong guy a good workout, however every now and then, I'll stop by Golds gym and really tear it up to confuse the muscles.
  • Any minor change will result in big results. I'd stick with what MFP suggests and don't eat back calories - if you feel sluggish, then eat them back. I was 275lbs & 5'11 - It's nothing to lose 20+ lbs in a month when you're obese of minor changes. Just remember it's a long process - and after the first few months, I'd slow…
