There is no way you see 1-2 lb of fat the next day - maybe fecal matter and/or water retention, but not fat. That would mean you'd have to eat 3500-7000 calories extra to see that amount stored as fat from the night to the morning, and even then, I don't know if fat can be stored that quickly...

Some people like drinking to the point of being drunk or buzzed. If that is you, then avoid carbs on your "drinking days". Avoid any grains, starchy foods, etc. Just eat veggies & some protein. This will help you feel the buzz quicker, and possibly you'll need to drink less to get the same results. It'll save you some coin…

I've been doing that exact routine like she did and I didn't lose anything. As soon as I got to eating good foods. I've nearly lost 5 kilos in a month. Explain that to me !!! [/quote] It's because Not all calories are absorbed by the body equally... Also, I really don't know if you are reporting correctly. Are you…

I run two companies from home. Occasionally on the road a few days a month. I have found that it makes this easier - more time to prepare food - more time to workout. As long as you set time aside for it! The hardest part is to become great at time management & multi-tasking is the death of productivity.

It doesn't need to be 100% accurate, just as long as you use the same tools for all measurements. If it's off by 3-4% at least it'll be off by that much the rest of the time too. Just allows you to see if you're going down the right path.

Well that might be your problem - 5x a week working out. The scale is one of the least important tools when you're working out that much. Do you do body measurements and take fat measurements? You could be losing fat but replacing it with muscle.

Simple solution - Add baking soda (1 tablespoon). You can put it in either during boiling or after, when you take the hard boiled egg and put it in cold water to stop further cooking (over cooked will make the yolk green - slow boil for 12 mins. You can even turn the stove off after it starts boiling & let sit for about 15…

The more fat (my two main sources are coconut oil & olives/olive oil) I added to the diet, the better my skin, and energy have been. Carbs to protein at 3:1 ratio after exercise works well. I try to eat my carbs after working out only. I know a lot of people are afraid of fat, but it should be embraced if gotten from the…

Why do you say that? Any solid proof? Not calling you a lier, just interested on the consistent part. The body seems to adapt to changes quickly, so in theory - Calorie cycling should work well... Some people may cycle and think it helped, when in fact, it could have been something totally different. So it's hard to say…

Taken from a recent article- If you do, you fly in the face of mounting and incontrovertible evidence that some calories -- in particular, "sugar calories" -- are jeopardizing both your and your family's health. Physicians and politicians who cling to the dogma that "all calories should be treated equally" imperil our…

Invest in a ton of spices. Because beans will be your friend. You can change the textures, blend them, eat them hot, cold, mashed, in soup, etc. spices are the key to not get bored. Also buy veggies in bulk. A case at a time- they will usually give you a discount on the entire box if you ask. So for 1 week, all recipes…

Yes. I mix 10-20 cups of spinach 1-5 cups of kale (steamed) Banana Coconut oil Cucumber Ginger 1-2 scoops of chocolate genuine health vegan proteins (helps reduce my chocolate cravings) Sometimes I add berries too.

Of course everyone will justify their actions and justify why they should get it (or anything). The argument can always be made for both sides, the sneeky person is usually the one who can get through the loopholes though. 1500 ($2000 US/CAN) is not a lot of money at all for something like that. It's not like it's $40,000.…

I'll add by saying if you are not losing weight, but eating well, look at your water intake, and possibly up it.

I know I won't be the only man to click on here... Should have known... Another girl posted the exact thing the other day. (search feature).

depends on the ingredients used.

Yep, 120 percent! :P Eating healthier (less processed crap and more veggies) is much better for your overall health. Look at it as your body and health as a whole. Your weight and body fat is one section of that.

Not to be rude, but there is a good search feature on here that many people don't use. This question is asked a good 2-3 times a day at least. To answer your question though - I don't eat them all back b/c I feel that all the apps for MFP are very generous when it comes to handing out free calories. If it's intense, then…

I thought eating more frequently was good too, but was shown this today - http://weightology.net/weightologyweekly/?page_id=319 Looks like it's actually good to have a few meals a day.

Something you should try to overcome possibly? there will be a few days of mental pain, but after that, it just gets easier. Also - adding more veggies in the diet & removing as much (if not ALL) processed foods is the best idea for optimal health weither you eat meat or not. I don't think anyone could disagree with that.…

Glad it works for you. Some of saras numbers are off (but are whats been generally accepted as fact up until now). Protein is high, but at least she did say LBM. I try to calorie cycle every now and then to avoid hitting plateaus - which I recently did after stoping my cycling. Whatever is "healthy" and easy to follow, go…

Only in my shakes. Stem and all. Cooking the stem on it's on taste like broccoli to me

Probably removing the grains, pasta, breads. I noticed that too on slow carb diets when I was on it. A good benefit I think! Cheaper, fewer calories - same effect

Just looking at the chart of insulin in that link... Short term daily fasting doesn't look so bad when seeing that chart! lol

I understand. Maybe try talking with the grocery store. Usually when you buy cases of something - they will give you a 10% or more discount. So one week you have more broccoli than usual, the next week, it's tomatoes. If people around you can use the food, then maybe buy in bulk from the store, then split it when you get…

You feel bad about your binging, so you decide to not add it in the tracker? Thats what it seems. It's all about holding yourself accountable. So even if you track everything - except your occasional binge- you're just lying to yourself. Why not increase your calorie intake by a few hundred and slowly (weekly) drop it 50…

It's your health and your life. So what if it's a bit more expensive. Budget accordingly. Most of us buy a ton of things we don't need anyway - or pretend we do with fake justifications. I found a wholesale produce market. I spend roughly $60-$100 a week (if you include $30-$50 Vega One shakes). Not a whole lot... Also why…

Cutting out (or limiting) breads, grain, wheat & gluten is a good thing for any diet. I don't think it's a horrible diet (I follow a plant based vegetarian diet for the most part) if you are consuming organic meat. Meat has been strongly linked to cancer (the chemicals and drugs fed/injected to the animals) and carcinogens…

It's not calories in vs. calories out. Not that simple! The more calories that are restricted, the more the body lowers the metabolic rate to compensate. This reflects the body going into (I hate to use this term but I cannot stop myself) “starvation mode” to prevent further weight loss. A CALORIE DEFICIT MORE THAN 1000…
