  • Can definietly relate... I have started a few different programs without completely finishing. I did, however, complete an entire round of Insanity a few months back, and felt a great feeling of achievement and accomplishment when it was done. My wife and I used each other as motivation and pushed each other to keep going,…
  • My wife likes her Polar FT4
  • Welcome to all the new faces, er, screen names.... Definitely excited about the number of people interestedin the group. It's always so motivating to have a team around you that KNOWS what your going through when you're doing a program like INSANITY. During my first round, I found a thread on the forums that I would keep…
  • Max Interval Circuit is killer... definitely the toughest workout in Insanity. Can't wait to get back at it!
  • Not just for those of us starting on 12/26... Anyone who has started Insanity recently or is considering the program is welcome to join!
  • Oni - It sounds like you face the same challenges as me with running... cold/wet/snowy weather in the winter. I haven't ran on an tredmill in awhile, but I used to use an elliptical quite a bit, and I just got tired of staring at the same thing through my whole workout. That's one of the biggest appeals of running to me...…
  • You can do it! I remember feeling the same way the first time I took the fit test, and then I remember thinking how hard just the warm-up was. Once you stick with it and get 3-4 weeks into it, you'll be surprised by how fast you progress... I'm sure those feelings will return after the holiday season I'm having...
  • 7 in so far... C'mon y'all....
  • Welcome, fellas. My wife did Power 90 for awhile and really liked it. I might have to try it out after this round of Insanity!
  • I like to find club/dance mixes of the Top 40 stuff... anything that give it more of a beat or tempo...

  • I'll bump this post from time-to-time in the coming days so that more people get a chance to see it!
  • We just bought some wokout/yoga mats that we lay on the carpet when we need the padding. Otherwise, we just workout on the carpet. There's no pad under the carpet, and since it's in the basement, the floor is concrete underneath, so it's a good, firm surface.
  • I'd definitely have to say that Insanity burns the inches more so than the weight. My wife and I both experienced this! It's a great program though that seriously transforms your body, physically and mentally! Anyone that wants to start a round of INSANITY on 12/26 is welcome to join my support group on MFP...…
  • We did this to our 4th bedroom in our finished basement. Basically we just cleared everything out and mounted a TV/DVD on the wall that we use to do workouts such as Insanity, P90X, etc. We also have an elliptical, a set of free weights, and a weight bench. Nothing special, but it serves it's purpose!
  • You'll definitely see a change in your stamina and athleticism. I remember the first time I put the DVD in, I couldn't even make it through the warm-up without stopping. Areas where I notices the most change is stomach, chest/upper body and legs. I'll actually be starting another round of Insanity on 12/26!! If anyone is…
  • Absolutely love Insanity! My wife and I did it together a few months ago and had great results! We are actually going to start another round on 12/26/11. Anyone wanting to go through it with us is welcome to join our MFP group. It definitely helps to have a team around you to support you through the roller coaster ride of…
  • Killed it last night... Man, you can sure cover a lot of ground in 20 minutes. I thought I had a good route planned out, but I had to make a few "detours" to get me to the end! W6, D1 tomorrow. I need to focus (or not focus) on my breathing. I'm now starting to get to the point where I'm not thinking about my run while I'm…
  • Time to do this...
  • I'd just say to take it much easier. I'm a new runner myself, but everything I keep reading says to take it slow and to get plenty of rest in between runs. I was also pushing myself pretty hard in weeks 1-3, and have since held myself back a bit, but my runs are now improving and I feel great. I'll push myself hard for an…
  • I use this app and it is AWESOME! I use it on my iPod Touch, so I can't use the GPS or Pandora, but I can build my own playlist for my runs right in the program! On Week 5, Day 2...
  • Congratulations to each of you! You are all a great inspiration...
  • Hello everybody - - - I also started C25K on Monday, 10/10, and was hoping to join the thread... A little background on me... I finished my first round on Insanity about three months ago, tried to do some unguided working out for about a month after that... began P90X, but didn't really like it (way too boring!), and then…
  • My wife and I did a full round of Insanity, and had the same exact experience.... Not mych wieght loss at all, but we could definitely see (and feel) the change in our bodies! Stick with it, and don;t use the scale as a measuring stick for success... I suggest staying off it all together. Compare your pre-Insanity…
  • Great job finishing INSANITY... that program is no joke! I just finished it last Sunday, so here's what I'm doing... I'm going to be starting P90X on June 27th... I wanted to "gear-up" for the weight training in P90X, so I got the INSANITY Upper Body Weight Training DVD - - - INSANITY-style weight training - - - and I put…
  • This is just awesome... evidently EVERYONE experiences the same "issue" with these Fiber One bars... I too am additcted to these bars... Oats & Honey and Oats & PB are my favs, however, I eat them with full knowledge of what's to come... Funny thing is I usually eat one as a filler after dinner, and then do my workout…
  • Just finished second fit test with mixed results... Switch Kicks - 49-44 Power Jacks - 30 - 47 Power Knees - 93 - 77 Power Jumps - 31 - 27 Globe Jumps - 7 - 9 Suicide Jumps - 9 - 11 Push-Up Jacks - 11 - 21 Low Plank Oblique - 32 - 43 I guess I'm satisfied with my results so far... It's still early. I can't really explain…
  • Day 16 Fit Test tonight!! I'll post my initial and my second fit test results for everyone to see. I'm intentionally not going to view my first fit test results prior to doing my fit test tonight... that way i won't be trying to beat a certain number... just doing my best. Day of yesterday was fantastic, after the first…
  • Did Cardio Recovery last night... almost two weeks in and that STILL BURNS... thighs and calves can't take some of those moves for that amount of time :) Still it's a nice change of pace to help the body recover in mid week! I'm looking forward to (or at least that's what I keep telling myself) my first two-workout day,…
  • Thanks for the advice! I usually try to modify the moves if I get any lower back or hip pain... but more importantly, I make sure that I'm keeping good form. - - - Like Shaun says, don't sacrafice form for speed... and I think that's where I initially went wrong doing the 1-2-3 Heismans... tried to go too fast and ended up…
