I agree - I think it was just banter that went too far - you have to put this into a cultural context, being Brits and all. Your response should have been also banter that pushed it a bit something like: "Yeah, us fatties love a bit of sex, Dave but I'd never *kitten* you cos you're an ugly c*nt"

Depends how long-term you see this as being, really. If you are on a 20% deficiet then a few weekends a year when you eat loads aint going to matter at all in the grand scheme of things - also bear in mind that 1lb weight gain takes 3500 cals or thereabouts to achieve. I can't bear the self-flaggeleating attitude whereby…

This thread went south even faster that I expected. :drinker:

It does make me chuckle momentarily when I consider that the 'paleo' diet could really have only been bourne out of this day and age as it totally negates any understanding of anthropology, geography, seasonality and so on. Eat it if you like, but don't pretend its anything other than a marketing gimmick. Also: the 'no…

I thought it was strength training with a lot of supersets etc? However, I am unwilling to pay £50 for a dvd to find out when there are loads of strength training programs/tips/regimes that you can get for nothing .

I had ulcerative colitis until my ileostomy when I was 22 - I cam imagine juice fasting having some very unpleasant side-effects. You could, however, try things like cutting out gluten etc to see if they lessen your symptoms - but I wouldn't juice fast, its just a gimmick that essentially has you on a very low calorie diet.

a) Gloves are for *kitten* b) Who cares? (apart from the OP, obviously)

Echoed that you need to split the upper body days and possibly do more back/pull exercises. I would also try and order it so you do your compound lifts first and move onto isolation exercises later so that you can give the (physically more exhausting) compound lifts more of your available effort. I woudn't pay much…

I have translated the OP for Brits: Or: GET ON WITH IT.

This. Although I imagine the soda thing is more prevalent in the US - most adults drink tea or coffee over here. I drink tea - it hydrates you just as well as water. Also: the day I drink soy milk is the day that Satan bobsleds to work. You can't milk a bean.

Truth is - anything can be a chin-up bar. I often use the top of my kids swing, but you could use a branch or the edge of a balcony etc etc I would recommend convict conditioning too.
-
If you wanted to do strength training - you could try Convict Conditioning. If you google it, you can usually find the book as a free download.

Interestingly (or not) we used to feed whey to pigs - if you soaked rolled barley in whey and used that as a whole feed they did very well on it.

That whole article is a pile of crap. Luckily, most people pay very little attention to random crap like this on the net - or I hope they do. Edited to add - by which, I mean some may be true, some may not, but it is never as simple as those odd, condensed little 'myths' that people ma then take as a general rule.

As long as you are within your calorie goal, then no! Of course not. They have great micronutrients and are dead good for post-workout recovery or pre-workout fuel. Eat the goddamn 'nanas, fool.

I think there is quite a lot of misunderstanding about what a "beta male" is on this thread - Alphas do not usually compete, it is the betas, who are one postion from the top who are always fighting, vying for that position. In human terms, Beta males are those aggressive little ****s that start a fight with you for…

Its incredibly funny. see: spoons.

To be fair - the "Nathan Barleys" of this world are better off when mocked mercilessly - it is doing society a favour.

Then clearly you are ripe to be the 'victim' in a game of spoof.

How are you supposed to check your form with no mirrors? Are people really that self-concious that the mirrors need to be taken down?

It won't help with weightloss - but it might help with hayfever. I hear that local honey is supposed to be good for that too.....

Reminds me of that scene (possibly in the "Full Monty") where that "larger" feller wraps his stomach in clingfilm and sits and has a Mars Bar....

I'm a livestock farmer and I consider myself to be lightly active if that helps.

Beat me to it!

This. The woman was a victim too - yes, she may have been either stupid, manipluated or both, but since when has stupidity been a crime punishable by the death of your children? The guy well - thats a different story.
