That, and its cheaper than buying loads more meat.

I had considered developing my own cardio programme, which I would then attempt to sell to the public called "come and work your *kitten* off on my farm".... But I think they might see through the obvious ruse....
-
What cardio do you like? Like anything, the best program is one that you can stick to. I personally dislike gym based cardio, so I'll either do a class (I'm doing "bootcamp" a couple of days a week currently) or I'll go for a run in the forest. I feel I should be better at middle distance running, so when I run, I'll do…

I looked into crossfit, but then I saw how much it cost and just decided to go to the free bootcamp classes my gym offers to members....

For me, it should be aesthetics, but in reality it isn't. I can just about tolerate maintaining my lifts, but when I start to lose strength, I seem to swich really rapidly into "*kitten* this, eat MORE!" mode.... :D
-
Beer, naturally. :)

I suspect Gary is British, he types in a slightly colloquial manner that other Brits could easily understand. "Blowing out of ones *kitten*" means "winded from cardiovascular exertions". Glad to be of service. :p

Quite. Apart from anything else, there were plenty of globally available carb sources available to our ancestors that we no longer eat... The Ray Mears book "Wild Food" is quite interesting in this regard.

Shearing sheep. There is no way to do this without screwing up your lower back. Not strictly an "excercise", but you try doing it for more than 45 minutes without being exhausted.
-
I have a slightly weaker "rugby shoulder" (presumably from years of hitting people with it), which means that I have to go slightly carefully on bench press... Other than an odd broken finger, I've managed to be surprisingly injury free...

Milled feeds only now. Most likely soya and other bean meal for protein content.
-
No, it's more that since the foot and mouth epidemic in the early 2000s (in Britain), you cannot feed pigs anything that has been near a kitchen. You can probably get away with whey on a technicality as nothing is 'cooked' as such during cheesemaking, but I don't think farmers are willing to risk it (or risk admitting it)..
-
I'm not demonising processing either. Loads of foods are "processed"....cheesemaking is a process, salting and curing is a process, grinding wheat or rolling oats are processes.... I had mostly assumed that whey powder was what was left when you evaporated the water off. I am familiar with the "raw" product. We used to…

This. I don't notice any strength loss (in fact as far as pure strength goes I still gain) some way into my cut. I usually start to notice in about month three.
-
Is whey a supplement strictly speaking? Its just whats left after cheesemaking with the water taken out. It is to cheese what skimmed milk is to cream....more or less.
-
Please explain to me how an "energy booster" drink containing green tea is "natural", whereas, presumably coffee is not... Both come from plants and both contain caffeine as the active stimulant... Also; if you are going to insist on your diet being "natural", where do chemically refined/isolated vitamins and other…

I shoot the odd rabbit. Does that count?

Like others have said, its personal preference - I tend to eat most of my carbs in the day, leaving none of my budget left for my evening meal. I find it helps me perform better at work, having a physical job, no reason other than that...
-
Its the only exercise I have ever injured myself doing.. and not where you'd think. I do my shoulder (back/blade area) in every time I attempt these.

TRX bands are used sometimes as part of my circuit class - they are in no way strength training, they are cardio. HIIT, I suppose. Just like doing 20 "*kitten*" (a burpee with a press-up), bodyweight rows, or incline pressups are not really resistance training, although they are hard, because once you can do them for 30-45…
-
And others don't. I have always done a curcuit training class once a week (which is much the same, sprints bodyweight exercises etc). Occasionally the guy that runs it throws in some band work, but I don't find it as hard as some bodyweight stuff. I also have been known to play rugby and recently have started to box on a…

Its a current trend, apparently. Ever since I learned of this, I have been clean shaven. I'd hate to be fashionable.
-
Interestingly, I now use my cellphone to count my distance walked each day out of curiosity and it appears that I walk well over 5 miles most days whilst doing my job. It appears not to have hindered me.
-
Actually eating out? Maybe once every few weeks. I may pop down the boozer more often than that, but I'm not doing any eating....
-
Bollocks to that - if I have been farming all day, I'm gonna have a bowl of cereal or something before the gym, or I'll just feel weak/tired.
-
Bacon. That is all.

Track one, which will usually occur during my big compound lift of the session is invariably "I'm Broken" by Pantera.
-
When I switch to a bulk from maintenance - I gain almost exactly 7lbs in the first week or so. This appears to be how much water I retain, so your 5lbs sounds right.

I'm attributing my success to the magical powers of beer...
