Great, so no carbs, alcohol, or dairy? FML! That's like 98% of my diet right there!

Gravity goes down, not out!!!! lol

I love popsicle peas :)

I'm 5'6" too and 130 was my goal as well. I'm about 7lbs from there (though after last night it's probably more like 17, lol), though I feel like I'll never get there. I'm mostly just focusing on toning for now, I want to get rid of these last jiggly areas and tighten up. I think it's less about the number on the scale and…

You're not going to pay more in taxes than you're going to make at this job, though. I don't know what you make, but you can find out, percentage-wise, about how much your taxes would be (25% or something. Ugh, lol). Then, if I were you, I'd just set aside that amount of your paycheck into an interest bearing account and…

Oh I am borderline anemic! hmmm....I'll have to start being better about my multivitamin and maybe that will help?
-
Maybe? My blood pressure is pretty low, generally, but since low blood pressure is a constant, wouldn't that make the shakiness a constant too? And I don't think calories--I often don't eat till around now, and had a big dinner. I tried eating something, though, and am hoping that that is all it is?
-
Bump. I have the same problem--when I do cardio my heart rate often hits 190. Is this bad?

There are options though. Figure out which ones you need, then search online for sales, etc. Alot of websites offer discounts, deals, etc. Or check out discount shoe stores like DSW or Rack Room. Just b/c you need good shoes doesn't mean you have to pay full retail price for them.

I lose about .5lbs / week on that same general plan

Wine :)
-
Don't keep 'drunk food' in the house. That way, if you want it, you have to REALLY make the effort to go out and get it.
-
I'm in the same boat. bump!
-
Yup! I would rather give up food than wine/beer, and I've managed to lose without giving up any of the things I love. Feel free to add me, and best of luck!

Soda=waste of cals. Delicious, delicious wine=best use of cals ever.

I've been type 1 for....wow, 21 years now. Good luck!

My little sister used to call my mom's 'plumpies' and bat at them while she was driving

I think she got sued b/c it was dangerous, but I could be thinking of something else....

Accept, then surreptitiously dump out a little bit at a time in the bathroom, sink, etc when noone is looking. Occasionally raise it to your lips like you're drinking. The level will go down, so you'll look like you're drinking, and noone will question you. I mean it's sad you have to go to these lengths, but it's an…

Did it earlier (well, a 3 mi around the block, lol). Couldn't have been better weather, and the mosquitos really motivate you to move your *kitten*!!!

I'm so with you in the huge calf dept, and am curious to hear what people say. One thing I've heard (but not tried) is doing yoga to lengthen them?
-
I did the same thing! And then thought, 'brilliant!' (to the scotch thing)

I've got about 10 lbs to go as well, and have felt this way for the last 2 weeks. However, I decided that yesterday was a new month, and even though I'm unlikely to reach my goal this month, I'm going to get closer, damnit! LOL. Feel free to add me if you want. After I actually ate well yesterday and worked out, I felt so…

My HRM (with chest strap and I input my weight) is always nearly double what MFP says. Either I'm working out way harder than the average person (doubtful, I'm pretty lazy) or something is off. The question, of course, is which? Obvi I'd rather my HRM be correct, lol, and since it has more specific info about me than MFP…
-
My HRM seems to think I burn more, probably because I have to work harder to breathe, which makes my heart rate go up more.

My splurge days mean I eat what I want--not like binge, but order the mashed potatoes instead of the broccoli, have the ice cream instead of the fruit, etc. I don't worry about the calories because, honestly, 1 day isn't going to make or break me. Plus, it boosts my metabolism and helps me not binge when I get cravings.…

I have days like this too. I max out at about 2.5 miles before I feel like dying, but some days I just can't get into it at all. The other day my legs felt like lead, it was SO hard and I ended up walking part of it. I think everyone has days that they just aren't feeling, don't beat yourself up over it and get back to it…

I think when people say 'without makeup' what they mean is without it looking like it was applied with a spackle. Few guys even realize when you're wearing things like light powder or mascara--that is, until you don't. Me, I pretty much always wear mascara. If I'm going out, I'm add eyeshadow or liner or some light powder,…

A little snack won't sabatoge your weight loss, since MFP sets you at a deficit. You might not lose as much, but you'd have to eat over your deficit that's already built in in order to sabatoge and gain.
