I love spin class. You get a great cardio work out not to mention good quad workout. This will probably be my cardio of choice because I had a total knee replacement in January. I would suggest either buying the bike shorts, or buy one of those gel seats that you put on a regular bike. They are very easy to slip on / off.…

Agreed - I'm 38F and the gurls sure do limit my yoga poses :( So tired of them! I wear the champion bra from Academy. Works well to hold most of them in.

I started my challenge last week at my heaviest ever - 240. Very frustrating as Dec 2010 I was at 190. So there it is. I'm coming here and logging my meals, and doing my BFL challenge. First week down 6.4 lbs!

I take yoga classes as well at a studio, but my alltime favorite it Shiva Rea: Daily Energy - Vinyasa Flow Yoga . Also, there is a website that has tons of taped yoga classes that are awesome. A lot of instructors use this for their own private practice. It's called Yogaglo www.yogaglo.com. I think it's $18 monthly fee for…

Definitely get one with a chest strap - way more accurate. I bought my polar from Academy for about $80 - well worth it. It's still going strong!

Hey there. I don't but can try to calculate it. The problem is this makes a LOT of rub! I just barely sprinkle it over the fish so it goes a LONG way! Let me see what I can come up with :) The brown sugar carmelizes when you bake it... soo tasty!
-
By the way.. just kidding on stealing the recipe. It actually came out of one of his smoking books lol But he does smoke a mean salmon and this rub is fantastic when baked.
-
It's fabulous! And it really makes a LOT! Lot's of leftovers or for sharing :) Let me know how it goes!

That is an awesome way to look at it. And 43 lbs! Wow!!! :) Great job!

Agree with everyone else on the HRM. I burned 620 in one class! It varies though depending on how the instructor feels. The hrm with chest band are more accurate than the armband. Polar sells one for about $70 that works well.

I schedule time on my work calendar for my workout (over lunch) and also for my meals so that I stay on track. For exercise, I have a stability ball and some DB weights. I also have an elliptical at home - however it's out of commission at the moment - wtg for hubby to fix. I have a TRX as well that I use sometimes. It's a…

What an incredibly powerful post. Thanks so much for sharing your experience. It's a great reminder that we have to do our part to take care of ourselves.

I agree.. insecurity issues. My hubby is the same way. Not that he will leave me, but he encourages me to NOT diet or exercise. I do it for my health and for me.

Isn't it a great feeling moving on? I went through a divorce in 2000, and have been happily remarried for 5 years. Life truly does go on!
-
That is so motivating! GREAT job!!!!

This is my kinda thread. I have fallen into the habit of daily wine or vodka/diet sprite to chillax after work. It's a hard habit to break!

Bumping! This is good stuff!

OMG how awful! I was thinking about getting a WII for the Dance Party, maybe I don't want to do the fit part of it lol Great job on your success!
