I've always been a big water drinker, since I was a teen (daily avg is 1+ gallons). There's an added benefit that people either forget or don't know about... staying properly hydrated acts as the 'fountain of youth' for your body. I'm in my 50s, and due to my regular water consumption, I have no wrinkles or crow's feet.…

You look great! Keep up the wonderful work.

Eat a healthy, nutritious breakfast, like an omelet. Getting healthy doesn't mean going hungry (and getting cranky).
-
I recommend eating dinner later. And if you start to feel like snacking, ask yourself "Am I hungry, or am I actually thirsty?" Whenever I feel like evening snacking. I make a mug of tea (caff free). Having said that, last night, all I could think about was the bottle of IBC root beer in the fridge. It's still there... I…

I tweaked my protein levels, increased it 10%. I've found that if I increase my protein, I'm less likely to snack during the day.

And it never will be. The dominant arm is always stronger and slightly larger. It's simple biology -- if you're right handed, you're going to automatically do more with your right hand/arm, thereby increasing strength and endurance. When working out do extra reps with your left arm to strengthen it. So, if you're doing a…

Also, not all bowls are the same size, so this question is impossible to answer. I have 3 different sized bowls in my cupboard, salad, soup and desert. Regardless of which one is being used, I zero it out on my scale, and then weigh my food in grams.

Lift more with your left hand/arm.

That's about all the waist wraps do -- cause excessive sweating. As soon as you drink some water, you'll re-hydrate. The waist wraps are a gimmick... they don't do anything.

When I was younger, I used to lift heavy, with an emphasis on leg workouts (got carried away rehabbing a bike injury). One day, I realized that I didn't have enough bar length on the leg press to load my weights, and also that I had used up the majority of the 45 lb plates in the gym. So I started to trade out the 45#…

I failed to answer your initial question. No, you do not have to be a premium member to access the database. It's available to all. :) Feel free to post here or message me if you need more help. Always happy to help.

I think you might be accessing it incorrectly, and thereby causing yourself grief. Using the top blue banner, click on "FOOD". Then click on "Food Diary" to access your daily diary. Click "Add Food" under whichever meal you would like to log. The screen will change, and you can search for your food, say frozen green beans…

The pants in the back of the closet that I hated because they didn't fit, now fit. But I still hate them. Ends up the pockets aren't deep enough to hold my phone.

It's not your husband's job to police your food or to restrict what is being made for a potluck -- it's your job to stand strong. My husband does the opposite... he tries to help me monitor allergy foods when we go out to eat. I must constantly remind him that my allergy foods are MY PROBLEM, not his... and not the…

The scale isn't moving because your still recovering from the kidney stone. Even though you may be done with the medication, your body is still recovering from the stressful situation. I had a similar medication induced situation in November, and when I spoke with my doctor about it, was reassured to just stay on course…

I get this occasionally, especially after an abs workout. For me, it's a muscle spasm. And it feels VERY strange.

It's just divided to help you keep track. It's easier to remember what was for breakfast, than to remember to include everything in a long list. It would be easier to miss tracking an item in a long list, but easy to remember what was specifically for lunch.

Sounds yummy. Going to make it this weekend. Thx for the recipe.

You might want to check with an allergist, if the dematologist doesn't find something. When I develop/discover new food allergies, I get hives and break-outs.

Embarrassing.... NOT!!! You look fantastic! Your waist shows a HUGE difference, your legs are much smoother, even your jawline looks more defined. Keep it up, you've done great!!!

Breakfast! I skipped breakfast since I was a teen. Now I eat breakfast every day. My current fav is a greek yogurt parfait... vanilla greek yogurt, 1/2 C blueberries and 1/4 granola on top. I've grown to LOVE breakfast!

I have no idea what I'm making yet -- just that it will involve lobster tails. The grocery store had 4 oz lobster tails on sale for $5 ea... I pounced. One thing I don't understand is why some people are making one thing for themselves and something different for their spouses? Make the same yummy and healthy meal for BOTH…

I broke my right foot back in May, and then my left big toe 6 weeks ago (dropped a dumbel on it, doh!) -- so I'm going to speak from experience. Depending on the severity of the break, a broken foot shouldn't slow you down that much. Give yourself 7-10 days for the initial swelling to go down. No running (obviously). The…

I love plain water, but I have to admit your infusions sound SO wonderful and refreshing! I'm copying this out for the summer when some of the fruits are more readily available.

Yes, the pube fat will diminish... along with the rest of the fat on your body as you lose weight. As to the boobs, do chest work... dumbbell butterflies, bench press, etc. Build up the pectoral muscles on the upper chest and your boobs won't look like deflated balloons. My trainer is constantly amazed that at 48 yrs old,…

Keep at it.... and relax about weighing yourself -- definitely invest in a digital food scale. If you're modifying your diet and starting to exercise the weight WILL come off. What's probably happening right now is that you're waking up your muscles. When muscles are used (especially after long time non-use), they retain…

I don't like oatmeal either, so I just don't eat it. By making my diet healthy, fiber-ful, well balanced and nutritious, my cholesterol has dropped over 125 pts in the past year. Who needs oatmeal?
-
I've eaten the same thing for breakfast and lunch every day for the past year, with very little variation. Here's my breakfast: 1 container Fage greek yogurt (various flavors) - winter only OR 3/4 cup Puffins cinnamon ceral - summer only (I don't tolerate dairy well in the summer) Lunch 5 oz roast turkey or ham 3 oz raw…

It does get easier. But it takes some time to form a habit (in this case, a good one). I found the best way to get in the habit of eating in a healthy manner, was to eat the exact same thing for breakfast and lunch every day. Lots of fruits and veggies are on my lunch plate -- with so much bulk, I'm seldom hungry. The…
