I drag my employees out once or twice a day to do a 20 minute walk. It gets us up and away for stress relief and exercise. I als have access to agym at work. Their hours are not great but I can some times squeeze some time in before work or onmy way home. In my office, I pace around a lot when I am on the phone. I make at…

Sugar free chewing gum. Keep lots of those 100 calorie snacks around. Baby carrots. One sly trick - brush your teeth. We have been programmed to dislike the taste of food right after brushing. It actually works!

Hold strong and ignore the idiots. What you wear or eat is NO ONES business! You know you ar working on getting healthier. Do not worry about what others are saying or thinking. Some of the skinnest people I know are among the least healthy. The eat junk food, smoke and drink in excess. The only way to deal with those…

I keep a huge 26 ounce water bottle at my desk and drink it when I get hungry. I probably go fill it 4 or 5 times during the day. It's a good way to get me up from my desk. I also have some of those 100 calorie snacks in my desk and limit myself to one of those a day. If you can, get up and go for a quick walk when you…

I guess I am lucky (or naive) because I have not seen the mean comments yet. You are right - we are all here for the same reasons - to get healthy, lose weight and find some encouragement. The mean people I have encountered have been outside o MFP so far. Last week, someone looked at me and said "I guess it is true - you…

My top three are: * not wiping the machines down after using thme - just plain gross * talking on cell phones, especially loudly so EVERYONE has to hear the conversation - just plain rude * leave dirty towels laying around all over the locer room instead of putting them in the bin to be washed - just plain inconsiderate

Incrediable shoulders - wish mine looked that great!

I agree that you need to stay consistent with when you weigh yourself. If you are consuming a lot of water, you will notice that the end of the day (night) weight on the scale will be more than the first morning weight after going to the bathroom. It won't hurt to weigh yourself after the meal and just take note of how…

My health coach told me that in the beginning while I am loosing the weight, not to add the exercise credit calories back into my daily allowance if I want to drop pounds. She says once I get closer to maintenance, I can do that. As an addition to this, she says if I do have a particularly hard work out or burn tons of…
