Hi there! My name is Christie. This is day two of OMAD for me! 4 years ago I was 300 pounds. I lost over 80, but have gained back 30. So I'm at 250 now. I struggle with food addiction and binge eating disorder. So it's been several years of bouncing back and forth...the same 20 pounds it seems. My goal weight is around…

Talk to your doctor or schedule an appointment with a dietician. I'm pre-diabetic. I try to stay under 50 net carbs (carbs minus fiber) per day, and no sugar, except trace amounts here and there, or fruit.

Haha. I wish.

4 months, low carb, exercise a few times a week. Mostly walking and strength exercises.

Try more fats! Coconut oil, butter, ranch dressing :)
-
I'm not an Atkins expert, but if I were you I'd cut back on the fats a little and exchange them for a little more protein. Also make sure the calories in the database match up with your food labels. Some of those calorie counts seem high...like the coconut oil and the cream.

Any combination of eggs, green peppers, onions, cheese, bacon, low carb wrap, or a protein shake.
-
Yes. Edit your goals by changing the percentages of carbs, fat, and protein you want eat.

I don't have PCOS, but I do follow a low carb diet to control my blood sugar. You're both welcome to send me a friend request :) I'm no expert, but after having gestational diabetes when pregnant, and now with higher blood sugar numbers, I've learned how to keep it under control.

I use Just Dance on the Wii, a kettlebell, and some dumb bells. I have a few fitness videos I do once in awhile in place of the Wii. I exercise about 20 minutes a day, 5 days a week.

Maybe try trading some of your carbs for healthy fats.

Welcome :)

I find something to do, like do the dishes, clean. I like to clean when I'm angry! Angry cleaning is fun. Exercise is a great stress relief.

I track carbs because they raise my blood sugar. I also feel a million times better when cutting carbs. I have so much energy, and I no longer crave bread and sugar.

Congratulations! Talk to your doctor. Maybe he/she can refer you to a dietician? I had to see one because I had gestational diabetes. As soon as I started eating properly, I actually lost weight. It was fine, because I was really overweight when I was pregnant. Good luck :)

It's good for digestion and reflux. But won't help you lose weight.

This guy did a Youtube video about it. He ate some, and then checked his blood sugar often. Here are his results, but everyone can react differently :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5baMbAXriM

I had gestational diabetes earlier this year. I did a random check of my blood sugar around New Year and found that it was higher than normal, especially fasting. So I have not been diagnosed yet as Type 2, but I'll be seeing a doctor soon. In the meantime, I'm cutting carbs and losing weight, and my glucose numbers have…

I have the 7lb contoured one to start with. I think it's Go Fit? It's purple, and comes with a beginners DVD with Bob Harper. Then I got Jillian's Kettlebell DVD and it's much more challenging. I do that one every other day. Even though I still have a lot of fat to lose, I can already see more muscle in my arms and legs.…

Tablespoon of heavy whipping cream, and sometimes a teaspoon of coconut oil. High calories, low in carbs, and absolutely delicious :)

Oh please. He wanted to share his grande nachos with her. This lack of support and his childish tantrum is not very marital at all. Communication in marriage is key, and there's a better way for him to express how he feels than to do what he did. If my husband asked me nicely if we could get some ice cream, I would gladly…

How disrespectful of him. I'm sorry. That's awful. Tell him to go buy his own "real food." Edited to add: Yes, it would be nice if you bought him some things he enjoys eating. But to throw all the food away and demand new food the way he did? Ridiculous. My husband is thin and doesn't need to diet, and wants me to succeed,…

23 pounds since January 8th.

I have a lot to lose, too! I've been at it since Jan. 8. You can do this!

I have silent reflux, and that's exactly what happens to me. It's not too much acid, but my LES valve thingy sticks open sometimes, and anything I eat or drink comes up to my throat, leading to laryngitis, and sometimes infection. With this new diet, I have not had any more problems with it. I also have to be careful not…

I think you're ok :) I lost 16 the first two weeks, and then 2 the third week. Once all that extra water is gone, it slows down. Great job, though!

If you're on a low carb diet, some days it's hard to get all of your calories in. There are days I'm just not that hungry, and I'm not going to stuff myself with meat and butter or eat a pound of cauliflower to get it all in. But I agree that it's not healthy to do every day on purpose. There are just some days our bodies…
