PB2. Its like a 45 calorie miracle, and its so good in smoothies or on ice cream.

One thing you might want to do to make certain you are using correct form (which is very important) is to look at videos on Youtube of the main compound lifts. Look up Mark Rippertoe or Stonglifts 5X5.

That's a regional thing. What you call it depends on where you're from. Down here in Texas everything is a "Coke".

I bet if you added some veggies and unprocessed protein sources like chicken breast or fish to your diet you would be less hungry. When I eat sweets and processed food they just make me more hungry. Are you doing any kind of exercise? Sometimes that helps guide what nutrition you choose. Like, if you're weight training or…

Who's and whose. As in, "Whose freakin' cat is that?".

You said you upped your weights. That could have your body hanging on to more water. Don't sweat it! I had the same thing happen for three weeks or so, and then boom, I lost 2 pounds. Just keep doing what you're doing!

I think you are absolutely on the right track. Often when one gets to a "goal" weight and starts eating at maintenance there is rebound weight gain, usually about 5 pounds. Really, it is better to lose 5 pounds lower than your goal, and if you gain the 5 pounds back and no more you'll be fine. But having an "alarm" weight…

This Lifting will help you maintain lean body mass while losing weight.

Doing elevated push ups with your hands on a bench and feet on the floor will help you get to full push ups better than knee push ups. They will be really hard when you first start, but you'll get better at it. Good luck, and keep up the good work!

Hi. I'm 54, and I do weight training 3 days a week and a bit of cardio on three other days. Weight lifting has made the biggest changes in terms of body composition, along with a balanced eating style and getting enough protein. It is never too late to start getting fit!

Its about freakin time. I guess 50% is better than nothing, eh?

For your stir fries you could use fresh ginger, garlic, and hot peppers (if you like spicy) and garnish with fresh cilantro and/or basil. I sometimes use a little white wine to bake chicken. And don't forget that there are no-salt added canned tomato products you can use. I buy the no salt diced tomatoes at Trader Joe's.…

Oh yeah. And like if you skip breakfast you'll be in starvation mode and your metabolism goes haywire or whatever.

Thighs, for sure. And of course its the last place I lose fat. :grumble:

I eat goat cheese several times a week. It is a bit lower in sodium than other cheeses, so often I toss a bit in my salads. An ounce of goat cheese goes pretty far. On the weeks, I have cheese in my frittatas along with veggies. Usually good Gruyere or the like. If you work it into your calories and macros, you can have…

I do weight training 3 times a week for at least an hour each time. I do 30 minutes of interval cardio on 3 other days (alternate). It depends on your goals. If you want to maintain as much muscle as possible while on a calorie deficit, do more lifting and less cardio. I know some people love doing cardio, but personally…

Yes please! And another vote for Green Day. Nothing wrong with being punk and successful.

I am 5' 10" and at my lowest weight (about 140) I was size 6-8. Right now I'm 183 and my size 12 jeans are getting loose. I am medium-framed and carry most of my weight in my thighs. My goal right now is around 165, but it isn't set in stone. It depends on how I look and bf%. I lift, so at this point I can comfortably…

This will be a day long remembered. It has seen the end of starvation diets. It will soon see the end of the skinny fat.

IN for cat gifs. :drinker:

Only calories from fish and pudding count. Everything else is free.

Hi. I always bring my breakfast, lunch, and a snack for before my after-work work out with me. I think planning what you will eat that day and putting in your diary beforehand really helps. That way when someone brings doughnuts or whatever in the morning, I have my planned breakfast with me that fits in my macros, and I…

Go Spurs!!! Since the Rockets are out and all. :drinker:

Nice work! You look fantastic. Congrats!

You can add me if you like. I am 54 and have been on MPF for a while. I have actually lost about 15 pounds total. I just took some time off during the holidays.

I can admit to being shallow. Yes, if they are attractive.

Stonglift 5 x 5 should be deadlifts, squats, bench, overhead press and row. It is effective for making you stronger and maintaining lean body mass while you eat at a deficit. You can read more about it here: http://stronglifts.com/

I'm 5' 10" and 54. I average 1500-1800 right now. Once I lose about 5 more pounds I will switch to losing half a pound a week and more calories. I lift heavy and do a little bit of cardio.

Nothing that I can think of really, because I can usually come up with a version of anything that fits into my macros. I second the Trader Joe's pizzas, though. Come to think of it, I need to go by there today.

You sound like my kind of friend, OP. I'm not much of a cheerleader, but I am here everyday. Good on you for your first deadlift! My first one was 95 pounds, but I'm kind of an amazon so its expected.
