I've been doing Strong Curves for about 6 weeks now, and I can assure you it will give you better glutes. It isn't easy, but it sure is effective!

So NOT true! I am a gym rat, and I love to see people of any size giving it their all. I would never judge anyone for making the effort. At my gym, there are people of all sizes, ages, etc., and no one there is perfect. There is nothing to be afraid of at the gym. Just go and do your thing and don't worry about others.

Oh hi. I am 5' 11". Goal weight around 165ish, currently175ish. Finding pants with a long enough inseam is a nightmare.
-
Hi. I am 54. Feel free to add me. And remember you are only as old as you feel!
-
Very impressive. You look great! congrats!

60-90 minutes 3-4 times a week. That is a level I think I can maintain over time. Anything more than that I don't think I could keep up over the long run because I have a life and stuff.
-
I am working on my last 10 pounds right now, unless I think I need to cut a bit more after that. I'm weight training 4 times a week and doing a bit more cardio than usual.
-
Work out in an air conditioned gym? LOL! When I do exercise outside, I try to do it early in the morning before it gets too hot. Other than that, lots and lots of water.
-
I don't worry about. My goals are more important to me than what anyone else thinks about what I am doing. I do hip thrusts with barbells, glute lifts and whatever else is in my program in the weight room with all of the body builders and wanna be bros. Sometimes it feels a bit weird, but that's why I have my program on my…

Strong Curves plus cardio 3 times per week. I'm losing a pound a week on average.
-
Meh. I go to the gym after work and most nights I eat the majority of my calories after 9 PM. It hasn't stopped me from losing at a steady and healthy rate at all. I think that bit of broscience has been debunked along with the 6 meals a day dogma. But, you know, eat whenever you want!

Besides a deficit? Planks and heavy deadlifts. I think the deadlifts have done more for my abs than any "ab" exercise, ever.
-
Incorrect. Asparagus is magical, not evil. Your food preferences are broken.
-
Wonderfully inspiring story, Ken. Best of luck to you with P90x and your commitment to being healthy. You can do it!
-
Deadlift if I have to choose.

I use Trader Joe's liquid laundry detergent and cold water on my Under Armour gear. Its been working fine. UA stuff lasts forever. No problems with wicking or odor.

Those horrid Shirataki noodles. Oh, you mean calorie-wise? Probably the day I ate fried chicken and two slices of cheesecake at the work potluck a couple of weeks ago. One was raspberry swirl and the other was dark chocolate with chocolate chips. I couldn't decide! Still lost weight that week, though.
-
That is really cute. Congrats on your transformation and "losing" a grand child.
-
I have the same problem with the Trader Joe's trail mix snacks. They are so yummy, but 200 calories a pop, so I have fit them into my macros when I can.
-
I see you went to culinary school. I love to cook and bake myself, and I know how hard it is to resist calorie-dense creations. I will add you and hopefully we can support each other. Welcome!

Are you stretching after every single workout? And by stretching I mean at least five full minutes, and every muscle group. The older you get, them more important it becomes. Of course, it could be related to over-training, but I don't don't your exercise routine so I can't comment on that.
-
Thanks for the recipe. Sounds awesome!

You know what's bad for your health? Stressing out about the relative healthiness/evilness of every bite of food you eat!

Salmon. yogurt, blueberries, cheese (two kinds), turkey, almond milk, arugula, tomatoes, onions, jalapenos, olives, salad dressing, Savignion Blanc, real butter, eggs, bacon, cilantro, raspberries...and of course, ice cream.

I'm 54 but don't feel or act it. I've got about 15 pounds I'd like to lose right now. I lift and do a bit of cardio and its working great for me. Feel free to add me as a friend.
-
But I don't want to get bulky!!! On a serious note, I have a good friend who I wish could read this and take it to heart. Yeah, but no. People are always looking for the quick fix.
-
I grill it and glaze the top with a mixture of brown sugar, whole-grain mustard, soy sauce, ginger and a dab of (real) butter. So yummy!
-
Right? I noticed that too. This is so amazing and inspiring.

Hi. I am 54 and I am currently about 15 pounds from my initial goal weight. I have been losing about 1 ib a week over the past two months (which is the rate I want to lose). The one thing that helps me the most is that I lift weights. Maybe not as heavy as some on here yet, but I deadlift 120 right now. I would encourage…

You can have food. Just make everything out of magical cauliflower. You can have cauliflower oatmeal, cauliflower pizza, cauliflower cheesecake...hell, you can even make a steak out of it! I'm shocked that Dr. Oz hasn't caught on to the goldmine to had from shilling cauliflower.
