  • Hi Cathy, I don't necessarily know what's "correct" but I can tell you what I logically think is correct and how I do it. I weigh my food after its cooked and I weigh the portion I'm going to consume (no bones). Pancakes are a tough one. I typically weigh EVERYTHING (I'm a bit anal). My scale does ounce and grams. Chances…
  • It does taste great. It has Sucralose in it. Its expensive. I did it for a bag. Then decided there were other, better ways so I stopped. It made my girlfriend really sick.
  • Green & Fruity Smoothie 1 Cup Almond Unsweetened Milk 1 Cup Fage Greek Yogurt Plain 0% 1 Cup Frozen Strawberries 1 Small Banana 1 Cup Kale (or Spinach) Very quick, filling and you can take it with you.
  • Water with Stevia Drops. I use Grape. Stevia is natural sweetener that comes from a plant. I would suggest taking this opportunity to wean yourself off of chemicals as well as soda...including artificial sweeteners found in Crystal Light. You'll feel much better. You can get the Stevia Drops at Whole Foods or that type…
  • Or 2TBS of 1/2&1/2 and a few drops of Cinnamon Stevia for a yummy flavor and no added calories or artificial anything (Stevia Leaf Liquid Stevia) found in Whole Foods or those type stores. I bought mine on Amazon, no tax or shipping and its gonna last a long time!…
  • Great job! Congrats!!
  • I have the BodyFIt by Bodymedia and its ok during the day but if I wear it at night while I sleep, I get welts under it...so I stopped wearing it when I sleep.
  • Since you are using your legs/hips to move the Kettlebell and not your arms you can actually use a heavier one than you think for the swings. I feel that particular workout (swings) in my upper thighs because its basically squats. I do the Bob Harper workout and bought a 7lb Kettlebell which I think is too light so I use…
  • WOW, it really shows! You look GREAT! I've lost 12 and I just don't see it on me yet. Thanks for the motivation!!
  • If you have Comcast On Demand, go to Exercise TV .... there is a TON of stuff there too! ANY workout is better than none. The other night while I watched Biggest Loser, I jogged in place and ran around my living room, dining room, hall etc...and walked it too. The dog thought I was nuts...but I figured it was better than…
  • There are lots of good recipes and ideas at http://www.cleaneatingmag.com/
  • I would suggest you search the forums for old threads on Bodybugg (two Gs) and BodyMedia. There are lots of discussion already posted about them.
  • I have its "sister"....the BodyMedia Fit, I wear it 24x7 except when I'm in the shower. I L-O-V-E IT! I'm all about tracking things and numbers. I can see when I wake up in the middle of the night and how often, how efficient my sleep is. How many calories I'm burning every second of the day. I don't have to guess how many…
  • I LOVE my BodyMedia Fit. I wear it 24x7 (except in the shower). Worth every penny!
  • I initially logged my weight on MFP on Fridays, then felt I needed the motivation to be good on the weekends so I switched my logging to Mondays. Now I'm considering changing it back to Fridays. Regardless...I weigh myself everyday and write it on my calendar anyway.
  • You can also add a cup (per serving) of raw spinach leaves...it may change the color of the smoothie, but you won't taste it and you'll get the veggie benefit!
  • That's a great idea, thanks! Its me and my husband, but I still find some things spoil, so I will use this trick. I'll do some thinking and let you know if I think of any other tricks!
  • If you are a member @ Costco...I just bought a 6 pound bag for $32.99 of 100% Whey from Muscle Milk...it tastes great. Here's the info listed in the food section of MFP: Breakfast Costco - 100% Whey Protein From Creators of Muscle Milk, 1 scoop Calories Carbs Fat Calcium Protein Potass 130 2 2 15 27 190
  • I always track Cals, Carbs & Fat and then switch up the other two every couple of weeks...
  • I don't know anything about African Mango and have no plans to look into it. At 50 years old...I do know a lot about "miracle" diet pills. I've been on Phen/Phen and other things...and at 50 I'm still struggling with my weight....so I don't believe in a miracle diet pill of any sort. Since Jan 3, 2011 I've now lost 11 lbs…
  • The FF versions are the highest in Sugar. Try Yoplait LIGHT...the blue label. From my experience it has the lowest amount of sugar, about 15 if I remember correctly. Because of the high sugar, I eat only OIKOS Greek Yogurt "plain" and add it to a fresh fruit smoothie. Its FF and only has 9g of sugar. The fresh fruit adds…
  • If you have Comcast On Demand, go to Exercise TV. There are a TON of free workouts there!
  • My BodyMedia Fit (made by the same company as BodyBugg) came today. Its charged, registered and ready to go. So, I can't say yet, but I'm really excited about it. It has a sleep function too. Check out the web page www.bodymedia.com. You can friend me and watch for my posts as I use it. Oh, and I got a great price for it…
  • Every morning as soon as I get out of bed I mix a Whey Protein Shake - Body Fortress Super Advanced Vanilla. Its in the Food list. One scoop has 140 calories, 26 grams of protein, 2 Fat, 65mg Sodium & only 1 Sugar. Dr Oz suggests you 'eat' 30 grams of Protein within 30 minutes of waking...so this is what I use to come…
  • I thinks that's a key statement! For those of us who've been on a 'million' diets in our lives, we know we have never really been successful and that is in our mindset. That is hovering in the back of your mind and making you crazy. Is this just # a million & ONE? This time I'm changing my lifestyle and its not just a word…
