  • Are you asking if you can get results from Insanity without following the Insanity Nutrition plan and using Shakeology/Recovery Formula? If so, then the answer is yes. I don't know if my results would qualify as "great" but I was very happy with mine. The link to my results/before & after pics are on my profile. Most (if…
  • They definitely don't get easier, but you'll be amazed at how many you can do as you continue through the program. By mid-Month 2, I couldn't believe that I was almost able to keep up with Shawn T on the tuck jumps. Just keep doing what you can and pushing yourself with correct form. Once your hip flexors and abs get…

  • I have never been good at doing morning workouts until I started putting my alarm across the room and placing a 5-Hour Energy on it before I go to bed. Now when my alarm goes off, I turn off the alarm and drink the 5-Hour Energy. Even if I end up back in bed, I'm fully awake in 10 minutes which makes me get up and workout.…
  • Today I did Core Cardio and Balance for the first time since my Recovery Week. Pretty amazing how much stronger I became in Month 2. I can definitely tell a difference in my ability to do the exercises as well as my ability to hold proper form. Now it has me thinking about doing a Round 2 of Insanity to continue to improve…
  • Hopefully the 3rd time is the charm for you as well! I've found that if you do a search for Insanity documents online you can find the calendar and other materials pretty easily. Glad to know posting that helped someone though!
  • If I were in your situation, I'd do Max Interval Circuit tomorrow, Max Interval Plyo on Friday and make Saturday your rest day. Then just continue the schedule as planned. Doubling up on those 2 workouts in one day would be quite the challenge though! I think you'd get more out of it by doing them on separate days. Is your…

  • The soreness in your back is likely due to improper form on some of the exercises. I had some lower back pain as well when I started Insanity but realized it was because my squat form needed work. Once I started working out with a mirror and concentrating on my form, the pain went away. As for feeling soreness in your…
  • One thing I do know is that my girlfriend definitely likes what my stronger abs allow me to do in the bedroom ;)
  • Thanks everyone! I appreciate the comments!
  • This morning I completed Max Cardio Conditioning and Insane Abs to finish a full round of Insanity! Here's my before/after: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/954485-my-insanity-results-17-5lbs-down-almost-1-2-to-my-goal Thanks for everyone's motivation and support! To those still working at - You Can Do It!!!
  • Cool - thanks for the input! I didn't realize there were weights involved in BBL. Are we talking dumbbells or what kind of weights?
  • I don't do juice fasts but I do make a juice and have it for breakfast every day. Then I eat "normal" food for lunch & dinner. Just wanted to add that I've never had an issue with diarrhea - but then again, I don't juice fast.....
  • Here's my favorite: 2 Apples (273g) 4 Celery (211 g) 1 cup chopped Kale (43g) 4 sprigs Cilantro (9g) 1 Cucumber (291g) 7g of ginger root 1/2 lime (37g) 2 cups chopped Spinach (58g) I basically use that as my base and swap out the lime for lemons sometimes as well as the cilantro for parsley. After a while, you figure out…
  • I noticed this happening to me as well when I started Month 2 of Insanity. I 100% believe it was due to not eating enough. I was crabby, irritated, easily annoyed and had a very short fuse. Originally I had my MFP goal set to 2lbs/week to see if it would work for me...and by Month 2 of Insanity, I proved to myself that it…
  • Hopefully this will help. As you can tell, I didn't get obsessed with MFP until about 1/2 of the way through Month 1. Most of the changes happened first to my lower half in Month 1. I didn't really notice any changes in my upper half until Month 2. However, I noticed inches lost starting half-way through Month 1 and was…
  • Congrats!!! Did you take before/after pics? As for me, I did Max Interval Plyo this morning and now only have 1 day left to complete the round!!! Will be posting my before/after pics soon.
  • Nice work! Keep it up!
  • Well, that depends on what kind of "results" you want to see. Small results like a couple pounds off the scale or your clothes fitting better can (and I stress "can") happen in weeks. However, noticeable physical results (the kind you're probably looking for) take months or even years. This is a marathon, not a sprint.…
  • That is a fact! Listen up ladies!
  • I actually like Max Interval Circuit best..........until the Full Body Drills come in the 3rd circuit. However, no other workout has me pushing myself as hard and has me so physically exhausted afterwards
  • I'm 33 and when I first started Insanity my HR would be between 165-180 when I was pushing myself in my workouts sometimes even maxing 181-183. As I became more fit throughout the Insanity schedule, my HR would be between 160-175. No idea why your PT would want you to only stay under 160....... Did he/she give a reason for…
  • Awesome work! You look fantastic! Congrats!
  • Max Interval Sports Training today after doing both Max Interval Circuit and Insane Abs yesterday. Had to take a day off Saturday due to other obligations and didn't get Insane Abs done Friday along with Max Cardio Conditioning, so yesterday was quite the workout. Now I only have 2 workouts left!!! On a side note, today…
  • Yes - that's what made me find other lunch options instead of just going to Subway every day. Regardless of what bread you choose, there's TONS of sodium in every sandwich. http://www.nutritionix.com/subway/nutrition-calculator
  • Well, even though I was well over served at the Blackhawks game last night, I still got out of bed and completed Max Cardio Conditioning today. Wasn't able to push myself as hard as I normally do (took a while for the Advil to dampen the headache) but still got a decent workout in and burned almost 700 calories. Going to…
  • Well, I know this workout isn't necessarily for dudes but this is the workout program my girlfriend is interested in and I promised to do any workout program she wanted. I'm on my last week of Insanity now and we're planning on starting BBL together once I've finished. Definitely will be nice to have a workout partner for…
  • Dude! Rock on! Nice work and good luck on your continued success!
  • Wow, congrats! That is definitely a success. I have to say, the newer/healthier picture of you looks immeasurably better!
  • Ugh, today was Max Interval Plyo..........by far my LEAST favorite workout in the program. But, it probably kicks my butt more than any other workout. This one really has me lying on the ground in complete exhaustion towards the end. However, I got through it and now only have 5 workouts left!
