  • Yep, that was my suspicion as well..........thanks for your reply.
  • Wow, dude - awesome job! Love the bear mace in your first pic. Were you hunting, fishing or hiking there?
  • Everyone's already given great advice (don't stop, go at your own pace, do what you can, take breaks if you need to but get back to it asap), so the only thing I'll add is: Just wait until the next time you have to do Plyo Circuit. It'll still be difficult but you'll be amazed at what you can do. The amount of progression…
  • Yep, Gimp is also an excellent tool for this - and it's free!
  • I recommend IrfanView. It's free and gives you a bit more functionality than Paint. You can get it here: http://www.irfanview.com/ It's not the prettiest application, but it allows you to take screen shots, edit pics, resize pics, combine pics (by copy/paste) into a single picture file as well as add text/draw lines on…
  • I think the real question is, where isn't it noticeable?!?! I can easily tell a difference from head to toe on your 2nd pic. Congrats! Keep it up!
  • Feel free to check out my diary. I'm not saying that what has worked for me will work for you, but you can see that I end up eating a decent amount of calorie-dense food to meet my calorie goal. My favorites are homemade almond butter and full fat yogurt. I workout 6 days a week and always try to come within 100 calories…
  • I live in Chicago now but originally from Crown Point, IN. Here's a great map of NW Indiana/NE Illinois bike maps: http://www.nirpc.org/media/3618/greenwaysbluewaysmap_west.pdf
  • +1 on the Gold Bond. Also, what kind of clothes are you wearing to work out in?

  • Congrats on getting started! Awesome to hear that you're so excited about starting Insanity. Keep that way of thinking and do what's necessary to stay motivated. Here's my advice for you: 1) Just do it. There will be days when you're tired, don't feel like working out or don't feel like you have the energy. Just keep…
  • Great progress! Congrats! That as a "during" pic should definitely keep you motivated towards your goal - keep going!
  • The after photo definitely looks more toned to me. You can see it in the tops of your thighs as well as the roundness of your butt. Nice *kitten* btw ;)
  • Great review of the Omega 8004/8006! I also have the 8004 and love it. However, my cleaning time is definitely over 2 minutes! Once you find the optimal size for each type of fruit/vegetable you want to juice that most efficiently gets through the juicer, your juicing time significantly reduces. I've yet to make sorbets or…
  • Interesting. I would think a lot of people wished they had someone to "compete" with to keep them on task toward their goals. Why does it bother you so much that this other person also wants to better herself? It doesn't sound like she's preventing you from staying on track with your goals or is trying to set you off…
  • Awesome! Thank you!
  • Congrats! That should definitely help you be a little more mobile in the tree stand/blind this fall!
  • Yep, it's most likely fabric softener - or at least that's what it was for me. Once I stopped using dryer sheets the itchiness went away. Most of the dry-fit/wicking type workout gear I have tell you on the tag not to use any fabric softener...... which I noticed after the itchiness started.
  • I always take a day off of working out after doing 6 consecutive days of Insanity workouts. Your body needs the rest after all the work you've done on it. You have to give your body a day to recoup. However, like others have said, I do feel strange on the off days like I should be working out or something. Right now, I'm…
  • I'm already registered for the one in Chicago this year. I'll be participating with a group of friends who all signed up of varying fitness levels. Should be fun. I've never done the color run before but have done a bunch of the Chicago 5Ks. If I keep up my current routine, hopefully I'll need some new (smaller) running…

  • When I get a sore back from Insanity, it's usually due to poor form while doing squats. I try to lean back to much and it causes pain directly above my pelvis at the bottom of my back. I've now adjusted my squats and have been working on keeping my back straight to fix the problem.
  • I used to skip cardio recovery because I thought it was too easy and I wanted a real workout. Big mistake on my part. I find that Cardio Recovery is great at getting your body ready to continue the other workouts. After Cardio Recovery, I always feel stretched out and ready for my next workout the following day. I really…
  • Fixed your photo. Great work, Congrats!
  • Wow! Fantastic results! You look great - Congrats!
  • I simply use this calculator to determine my calories burned by heart rate for all of my Insanity workouts: http://www.shapesense.com/fitness-exercise/calculators/heart-rate-based-calorie-burn-calculator.aspx Then I add the workout I did to MFP using the "My Exercises" function and enter the number of calories and length…
  • I find it very tough to eat any kind of sandwiches if I'm trying to keep my sodium low due to the high amount of sodium in pretty much all bread. For example, it's basically impossible to get a 6" sandwich from Subway that comes with less than 1000mg of sodium regardless of what bread and meat you choose. Subway salads…
  • Almond butter and peanut butter are my favorite low carb/high fat snacks. Avacado is also a great option.
  • To me at least, Insanity was/is more difficult than P90X. This is probably because my workout routines in the past have always had more lifting than cardio. P90X is a mix of weight lifting and cardio where Insanity is basically all cardio with some body-weight exercises. P90X breaks up the cardio workouts with weight…
  • You can get a decent food scale pretty cheaply online. I just bought this one last week. http://www.walmart.com/ip/The-Biggest-Loser-Digital-Food-Scale-6.6-lb.-Capacity/11090896?adid=1500000000000027727770
