I'm gonna agree here. I've done my own little experiences where I've run (attempting as much exactness of each ) the same distance, pace & conditions ) two different runs but one with the HR strap and one without. There's such little difference in the calorie burns it gives me.

I'm perfectly fine with you eating that.

Yesterday I discovered that I could run repeated loops of the shady part of the trails at a nearby park and it made a huge difference.

Weight lifting is not for weight loss. Cardio is not for weight loss. A caloric deficit is for weight loss. Still, the first two are crucial to your overall success. First and foremost, cardio is for your health. I could go on for ages on the cardiovascular importance of regular cardiovascular exercise. Running is a very…

You need a chill pill. You're thin already, at 5'4 and 120. If you're that paranoid about your perceived flab in those areas, wear a body shaper under your dress if possible. You're not going to have much fun at the beach if you're stressing over this stuff.

There are many many many things you log where it doesn't chart the potassium value. That may be why.

That's not true. That's rubbish. Please, don't listen to it. The only truth I believe in that is if said person was now inactive and had lost a lot of muscle. If you want to avoid that, it's really simple. Life weights, do calisthenics (build and maintain lean body mass aka muscle) and also exercise regularly (cardio).

$110/ year and there are 4 locations I can use , but regularly stick to two of them. There's a bunch of classes (cardio kickboxing, HIIT & toning are my faves) a pool I never use, raquetball court, sauna, your regular equipment and 2 floors of weights. And babysitting available at certain hours for &1/HR per child. There's…

I don't think its hormonal but psychological. And behavioral repetition - aka creating habits.

^^^^ A huge "pet peeve" Even when I was obese, I knew it was because of my choices.

I think exercise is crucial to sustainable weight loss.

Well, I've lost 99 lbs to date with logging my food on MFP. So if it's a clapshoot, I don't know what isn't. I have, however always referred to the brand/restaurants calorie listing before choosing which one I pick from MFP. The barcode option is amazing, too. Sometimes I will, if it's something homemade (and I didn't make…

The most important and effective things to do are to be a healthy weight with regular exercise.

Yea...I'm in Florida, too. Even when it turns dark, the temp is still 90℉. Since its gotten hot, I've been sticking to Max 10K runs, and heading out by 9am and just suffering through it, telling myself that I'm conditioning myself.

There's ways to change your goal at any moment. it's under "Goals" on the app.
-
Then make a conscious choice every day to keep it in check. You're in control of that. Own it.

I weight myself when I feel skinny. (You know what I mean; sometimes we feel heavy and sometimes we feel light . Do it on one of those light mornings) & only once a week Max. If you're in maintenance then I don't think it's necessary to weight daily and it also feeds that anxiety that we all know about. It sucks. it makes…

Weight gain is not an autonomic reflex.

I'd avoid the jumping as that would be more traumatic to healing tissue than healing. Anything with a slow repetitive, non-joint-stressing motion is usually the goal; walking, cycling, swimming.

I'm an ER nurse, I am on my feet a lot for 50 hours a week. Recently, I've started running a few miles after shifts (I'm exhausted but it's a huge stress relief). I run or do a cardio/strength class on my days off. Try to life twice a week too. And I'm a mother to three elementary aged children. I'm never bored, in other…

Do you give a crap what anyone else is doing in the gym? No? Then they don't give a crap what you're doing, either.
-
I'm the same. Even on non exercise days I'll eat over maintenance because I'll have such a bank from run days.

Aspirin doesn't thin blood, but reduces platelet aggregation. The lack of oxygen to the heart is because with the heart beating so fast, the chambers of the heart don't have enough time to fill properly with each beat, therefore reducing cardiac output (or blood flow aka oxygen) to the rest of your body. And the first…

They're saying the same thing about diabetes now; it's not you eating sugar but rather your overall lifestyle: overweight and inactive. Same goes for blood pressure; don't Blame the salt. It's you're lifestyle.

Donate and move on. The weight lost is that of blood volume, not fat. Your body, over several weeks, will regenerate that blood, which uses some energy expenditure, but I definitely wouldn't count into the calorie equation.

I think you can get used to it, either way. I used to have to eat before morning runs, now it doesn't matter. I used to get GERD flairs and indigestion-feeling if running right after eating dinner. It doesn't really bother me anymore. That's personal experience, either, but maybe a different one. Our bodies are pretty…

As someone born & raised all of my 27 years in central FL, it does not excite me. But have fun! I know for others it's really a huge fun fest. Yes, you'll walk a lot. It's going to be crazy hot. The parks will allow you to being your own food and drinks. That's the best part haha. But there are many options that you won't…

I'm gonna update my own stats: 136.2 lbs this AM - (just 1.2 lbs til I'm at my revised goal and total 100 lbs lost). I'm mostly a size 6. But depending on brand think I can do a 4. Haven't tried yet, ha. I am a small in tops, and my boob's went from DD to borderline A's. (Let's all take a moment of silence for that one).…

Don't criticise your shape. Love it and own it. It makes you uniquely YOU.

Nope.
