  • Awesome! I can't wait to be you!
  • You're right. Just like it was said above...I totally want to. And if I did the 1M and felt good after then I'd just be ticked at myself that I didn't aim higher. Thanks for the push!
  • No kidding! TODAY is a rest day!! My thighs wouldn't allow a run even if I were to try. That's kinda how I can tell I'm motivated enough to do it. My body wants a rest but my brain is bummed i cant run. Before my brain was what was in my way. It's a nice change!
  • Thanks. I really needed someone to validate me :) I'm about 99% sure I'm doing the 5K. I'll register when i get home from work and will hopefully not turn into a wimp in the next 6 hours and will pull the trigger. And then? Train like crazy for the next month. Here's to (hopefully literally) running my *kitten* off!
  • I think I'm doing this! Nothing motivates me like 1) looking like an idiot and 2) money, honey! I think that signing up for a race will help with both. I'll push and keep training because I don't want to show up at a race and be the slowest poke and I'll definitely show up at the race because I'm cheap and if I pay for it?…
  • I just started as well. I finished W1D3 today, but I'll be repeating Week 1 again, I think. I can tell you that the first day I did it WRONG. When my 'run' prompt came on my podcast? I RAN. Like I was being chased (well...if one can be chased on a treadmill) and was miserable by the end of my second run. I could barely…
  • I think I'm going to be in the same boat, and I'm already kind of down about. It's REALLY in my neck of the woods, and since I'm so new to running I don't think that running outside is a good idea. Logically I KNOW that even running on the treadmill is better than not running (or doing anything at all, for that matter...)…
  • yummy! think they'd freeze?
  • What about eating them as a soup? You could cook the veggies (broccoli is my favourite, maybe mushrooms, too) in some vegetable or chicken broth and then puree them in a blender. Add a bit of shredded cheese and melt it in the soup to mask the veggie taste a bit.
