exactly. don't make it a race for yourself or you will set yourself up for failure. I'm almost at 10lbs down and its been 2 months. I have found that the key to my success is recognizing my "little" success', losing 1 pound is a success, losing 2 that's great. Set up some mini goals and try to keep the stress at a minimum.

I don't like calling it a cheat day or meal. After reading through all this I'm realizing that a "cheat" anything doesn't sound so great. I would like to say that when I am enjoying a meal/drink/snack that I normally don't get to have it should be called a "vacation" meal. You don't get to take it everyday but when you do…

because carbs are best consumed when you are exerting energy, i.e are awake and in motion, doing a sport, and like things they are more beneficial. I'm not trying to speak for that poster but I agree with the fact that consuming something higher in carbs as a late night snake can sometimes negatively impact sleeping habits…

She actually isn't too far off. The sugar content in yogurt is pretty high if you aren't paying attention to the label. Considering you've been on this site for a month maybe you should drop the "know it all" attitude. OP maybe you should try just giving yourself a glass of milk to put you back to sleep and then transition…

Well she is correct up there by saying it starts in the kitchen. Also please realize that you are only giving yourself 6 weeks to lose 10 pounds. Maybe extend that to the end of May so that you don't just set yourself up for disappointment. Good Luck!

Also you can slice the cabbage into 1/2" sliced and put some olive oil, garlic and crushed red pepper and grill them. Also very tasty
-
I drizzle the balsamic and then spread the crushed garlic. or you could mix the garlic with the balsamic and pour it that way.
-
Similar to this but with balsamic dressing and crushed garlic. so delicious!

This was just a subject in another conversation. Do you knit or bead? Do you like puzzles or hemp weaving or even drawing or painting? If you can find an activity to do with your hands at night while you watch tv or just by itself you may be less likely to snack at night. Also drink water. It will take time to form a new…

Saint Joseph's Lavash wraps are a great alternative. Yes they still have carb but its not terrible. other than that you can hollow out a cucumber and make your sandwich in that or just roll up deli meat ( I use thin N trim ) and eat that.

ahhhhh and there is the reason 2 lbs feels like a ton.you should put a side by side picture in your mirror of your current before and after. Maybe that will help you realize how far you've come. Congrats on the 80 lbs that's a great achievement

ick! read your label. fake sugar ewww

I wouldn't get bent out of shape about 2 pounds. I took a quick look at your diary and you are consuming a lot of sodium which makes me think the 2 pounds could be bloat/water retention. However you are going over your calories and drinking a lot of them. Don't get me wrong shakes can be good but unless your doctor has…

seltzer water. PowerAde zero and its comparable products usually contain ridiculous amounts of sugar/fake sugar. Try infusing your water with cucumbers, limes, berries, herbs, etc.

I've actually heard several good things about shakeology and have some friends that love it and swear by it. No hating for that product. Slim Fast is just garbage.
-
I use Thin N Trim sliced meats. They are a little more expensive but its worth it as it has less sodium than most sliced meat options. I'm making myself hungry too! Good thing I have a boiled dinner going in the slow cooker at home
-
I've heard a lot of positive things about chia seeds. What is the taste comparable to?
-
I used to use Slim Fast, then I gained all the weight plus some back. I even tried it a second time, and then it was pointed out to me how much sugar/fake sugar was in it (Yuck). My advice, try shakeology or buy some protein and make your own meal replacements. Not trying to knock ya, but it really won't give you the…

She has stated that she's exhausted options by "trying everything". Her daughter left weight watchers. Now she's trying to get her to join this site. She knows this subject is hurting her adult daughters feelings and not trying to offend you but putting your success in your daughters face isn't going to validate your…

These all sound good thank you! Not sure as to why but just in the mornings eating something high in carbs makes me very lethargic and drowsy and I get hungry really quick. And any reason to eat steak I will

I can totally see your side of it. For me I was (and am at the moment) overweight. Looking back I wish I people wouldn't have focused on my image and more of my health. Seeing family overweight with diabetes, with high blood pressure, etc propelled me to get the reins on my situation. It did crush me when people commented…

Florida Georgia Line about a year ago. Great CD, good enough for it to "disappear" from my jeep

Perhaps you should try to focus your concern on her being healthy as opposed to losing weight. I mean, not to sound harsh or anything but if someone was constantly telling me that I needed to lose weight it would break my heart. I think the best thing for you to do is have one final conversation and basically say listen,…

Amazing Job!! You look fantastic!!
-
When you set up your profile it asked about your job whether it was sedentary, mildly active or very active. I could be wrong but I think that the option you chose is counted into the program MFP created for you.
-
That is a tough spot to be in. Try to do little things as you are on a budget like while at home doubling up on veggies, try not to snack and when you do try to go with the "healthier" alternative. As for eating out with friends you could always opt for the salad. Try to reach out and find some people in your area who…

I eat low carb but without carbs I get really silly, I don't function properly and I cannot think right. You could make yourself a sandwich and use lettuce to hold it together. Or have an open faced sandwich, one piece of bread, lower carbs there. Or you could buy some special wraps/bread or something to suit your needs.…

Too sexy for your pants? Glad you are feeling better, I probably would have cried in front of everyone thankfully you were able to hold it together long enough to get your keys and get on some new pants.
