  • I use tomato purée and then add diced pickles, red pepper, red onion and sweet corn. I call it my “tuna crunch” and it is delicious in baked sweet potatoes!

  • Lady Grey tea with skimmed milk or I have a delicious Twinings Rhubarb and Ginger that I very much enjoy.
  • Late joiner but I’m in! Only missed Sunday as I actually usually do squats between patients at work on a Monday so easily did 50! Will continue from today after my run to add them!
  • 29.6. Was very happy to drop from Obese to overweight category a couple of weeks ago. As a Health professional who provides health checks for the general population I feel that the BMI is a great tool for a purpose. Sorry to state it....but 99% of the people in front of me are not muscular attributing for a higher BMI.…
  • I bake kale leaves to make them crispy (coated with some OO and seasonings first). They aren't as good as potato chips (crisps in the UK!) bug I struggle to eat just one individual bag!!
  • The South Downs Way is one of my personal favourites...I happen to not live far from a stretch of it! South of England, particularly the Sussex areas give you great costal views whilst having some scenic and rather hilly walking! You can also detour onto the historic and more adventurous Monarch's Way. In addition if…
  • Lightbulb moment for me was when I sat there realising 1. I had more knowledge about nutrition than the leader of the class, 2. My class was descending into a constant repetitive fixation on alcohol with everyone being recommended by said leader on how to cut meals out of their day in order to drink on the weekend and 3.…
  • I love tuna mixed with some tomato paste, diced red pepper, gherkins, red onions and sweet corn to fill a baked sweet potato. I call it tuna crunch! Also tuna mayo with tonnes of black pepper, chives and sweet corn.
  • I love happy scale! I do as above and log daily but don't link it to MFP. Only log here once a week. But that app is really great.
  • Couldn't start yesterday as my food delivery didn't come until the evening. But today have logged 850g as follows: 400g salad made up of cucumber, tomatoes, spinach, rocket, celery, peppers and red onion. 50g of mixed beans with the salad for lunch. Dinner was 100g sweet potato chips, 100g of a veg mixed with broccoli,…
  • Cholesterol makes up approximately 2% of the fat we eat, much better to be cautious of the overall fat consumption we have including the quality of the sources of these fats with their proportions of saturated to mono-unsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, than to be overly concerned with trying to lower that 2% in these…
  • I'm in! I was easily hitting this target in January...then this month slipped off the healthy wagon a bit! Back on track tomorrow with a food delivery packed full of delicious fruit and veggies!
  • I'm definitely going to aim for this. I've been trying to do seven portions a day since January so this'll be a nice extra boost!!

  • Try explaining that to my friend whose baby has been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes! Just saying....it's not quite that straight forward and I don't think from my experience having worked with patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes that all diabetics must have had unhealthy diets filled with sugar. Not an automatic link…
  • Don't use glasses but I drink 2x my 600ml bottle a day in water plus a coffee in the morning and a peppermint tea before bed. And I'm afraid that chart above is of no use to me because my landlord chose the most glorious shade of avocado for the bathroom suite including the toilet!! But I feel pretty good when I drink that…
  • Not a teacher either....but married to one who is with me in the weight loss/fitness journey just doesn't use MFP! Hubby is up at 5:30am everyday to commute to college to teach some darling teenagers their algebra and quadratic equations! Usually doesn't get home again till 6pm. We try to both go swimming together two…
  • Pop sugar fitness has some great ones. Blogilates is primarily Pilates but has some Pilates HIIT workouts that always get my heart rate up!
  • I'm being investigated for Psoriatic Arthritis currently (no definite diagnosis as of yet) and I struggle with pains in my hands and wrists. But as others have mentioned I have managed to lift with the use of a wrist support. I've also found useful for non lifting days (I personally can't get to the gym more than twice a…

  • Ok...I just had to go and repurchase this today because of this thread! For benefit of OP I found it in Tesco today in the sauces section so hopefully they'll have it in a supermarket near you soon!
  • Porridge! With many different toppings but I love my porridge
  • Love that one!! My response...."I'm strong enough not to let a piece of bread control my life!" But seriously I hate that I feel pressure to constantly have to explain my private health problems in order to justify a choice over what I choose to put on my plate. Saying that....I'd never change it now! I feel so much better…
  • Ha! Like me who now has a desperate desire to purchase a bottle to carry my Sriracha with me wherever I go! Awesome idea!!
  • Ooo that I've got to try!! Is there a particular recipe you follow?
  • My mistake....it's very similar graphic to the brand in the UK that I've most commonly seen around but just double checked and its not the same image.
