I think the Fanny Pack option makes the most sense. And don't forget to add the weight of the gun to your weight in figuring out your calories burned! If you need to burn more, just carry a bigger gun, or extra water.

BMI uses a square function to adjust weight for a given height. Any bonehead knows that weight correlates closely to volume, and that is a cube function of height. You can probably walk more weight off faster than almost anything else. If you can run 3 miles, you can probably walk 9. It just takes longer.
