  • I conveniently just sat down with popcorn....this should be good LOL!
  • I am actually a physician who is taking a sabbatical to raise my youngest at home till she gets into kindergarten (which she just started......yahhh!!! ). What you are referring to is a teaching acronym that is used in medical schools to help students remember a common condition found in women. It is actually FAT, FEMALE,…
  • Hello, I'm fairly new also. Feel free to friend me for support. So sorry to hear about all of the crisis in the family. Hope things are settling down. It is so hard to stay on a healthy program when your life is topsy turvy. I think you will start to feel better and maybe want to get out more now since you are getting back…
  • Well, you are obviously very beautiful judging by your picture and you sound like you're just as beautiful inside. Don't get discouraged. Keep up the good effort with your nutrition and weight loss for yourself and not for others. Some people are jerks and just want to make others feel bad because they hate themselves down…
  • Fantastic! I agree completely. I consume close to 2000 a day by the time I eat back my exercise calories of 444 per day of walking and I lost a whole pound yesterday. It's really started to come off since I upped my calories. Your body will do what it is designed to to if you just treat it right! You look awesome girl!!
  • Hi Chelseylynn, I used to have that problem and it came down to I just simply was not eating enough earlier in the day........and throughout the day for that matter. I know you say you are having a protein bar but I am really wondering if that is enough calories. Also, If you are at a 1200 calorie a day limit, you simply…
  • Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Since I last posted, I decided to change my goal to 1 pound per week and it gave me a daily calorie goal of 1660. I know........I was shocked, but with all I had been learning about not going under your BMR ( which mine in 1607.......resting, as if I was in a coma), I figured I at least…
  • Great advice! I am realizing that this is finally the time to be more gentle and kind to my body after years of diet abuse. I'm definitely in it for the long haul and want to feel good while I get there. Slow and steady is starting to sound more like a friend versus the old fast and furious. I am also learning so much more…
  • I'm by no means an expert and I have not been on here even a lengthy period of time but one thing I did find is that when I was eating too few calories such as 1200 and not eating back the number of calories that I was working off.......is that I was always hungry and starving, even in the middle of a workout. What I have…
  • Wow, you inspire me. That is a lot of hard work you put in to lose the weight. I'm sure you can get back to where you want to be. Starting is the first step. Nice to meet you!
  • arctvc do you have a recommendation on which brand of heart rate watch to get that works well?
  • Thanks for the recommendations. I do think the heart rate watch is a great idea to more accurately determine how much I'm really burning. The water weight makes sense too. Since I last posted my question, I have lost and gained the same 2 darn pounds. I dropped my goal down to 1 pound per week and have been doing a pretty…
  • Good for you!
  • Thanks for the advice. I guess the issue is that if my goal is set to lose 2 pounds a week the system gave me a 1200 calorie limit, so their is no wiggle room as far as being able to lower my calories from there...........unless I exercise a lot and just not add all of my calories back into my eating plan for the day. But…
  • I started using Lattise about a year ago. It restored all of my lashes and then some. It makes them longer, darker and thicker. The down side is that it is pricey, but it is one of those items that for me makes a difference, so I budget it in. You can get it from your cosmetic dermatologist. Generally, if you buy 3…
