If anyone would like to pose a well constructed question I'm happy to put together a thorough search of the medical literature.

Read more carefully, I'm talking about people who use extreme examples of CICO like eating 1200 calories of twinkies.
-
I find it interesting the CICO people who think eating Twinkies within their calorie goals are completely ignoring long term health effects. What we eat directly relates to gut health and overall wellness. Just because you weigh less doesn't mean you are healthier.

Oh! My cast iron skillet, I sear meat on the stove and finish off in the oven.

My spiralizer, I used it so much last summer I broke the handle so will be getting a new one. Pressure cooker as well, I rarely used it and now I use it often. Oddly, kitchen scissors for cutting meat/de-boning- I never did that before!

I didn't even know there were hazelnuts in the cake, it was perfect for me because it wasn't too sweet and it was actually light. I don't bake so I have no idea if this would be an issue, but I wonder if some other nut could be used. The presentation was spectacular!

I don't know if this has been shared yet but my friend made this for my last dinner party and paleo or not it was AMAZING! http://smittenkitchen.com/blog/2013/03/chocolate-hazelnut-macaroon-torte/

Thanks Steam!!

When I'm tired or/and stressed it's almost game off for me, it's amazing how much my hunger/cravings are tired to my entire well being. No wonder depression/anxiety = massive weight gain!

I love hearing about all your success, even not gaining weight is successful (or would be for me!)! I really feel like i broke some bad habits, like wine at night, and eating junk b/c it's in front of me. I slipped a few times and need to tighten up but I know I CAN now, and that I feel better so onward!

I'm down for a Feb and beyond group and Clutch I vote you leader as well. I hope our original founder is ok. You guys have been so helpful for me I want you all to stay!!

I love cooking but I have my share of 'fails' (especially when trying things I have no prior experience with)- it's a learning process. I'm a terrible baker. Like, I can't even make good boxed brownies lol.

I totally understand, it's my last day and I'm sitting here eating a chicken thigh and can barely chew it. I'm down 10 lbs. I have a crazy indulgent weekend ahead of me (wondering how sick it will make me) then back on the wagon!! When I got really sick of the food I'd make artichoke hearts, the texture helped me. I can…

I weighed as this is my last day for this round (I'll be back on Monday!). Start 189.5 2/22 179.5 -10 lbs I wasn't perfect, but this is the best I've eaten and healthiest I've been in a long long time and I think it's showing. My skin looks better, I'm sleeping well, my anxiety is so low it's not even an issue. I do get…

I'd love the reset group to have a February page, I'll be trying to stick pretty close to what I've been doing with a little more wiggle room for another 2-3 weeks and need you all!!

Emma, I don't lose when I'm doing crossfit (well, I haven't stuck with it consistently to get to the losing part) because my body hangs on to water and weird stuff like that. Measurements might be the way to go for awhile.

I'm down to 3-4 days depending on what we end up doing (my best friend is comping in town and we have an all inclusive luxury hotel wine and food weekend planned) Thursday night. I wasn't perfect, I slipped on wine and ice cream. I don't even LIKE ice cream usually but wow did I have some cravings. I weighted myself today…

I finally went to urgent care, I was sicker than I was allowing myself to realize :( X-rays, blood tests, antibiotics, steroid shot, steroids, and prescription strength sudefed later I better be on the mend!! I wanted wanted wanted to go home and order pizza so bad I was almost in tears. I made white rice and went to bed…

Steam how was the decaf coffee?

Oh Jessa, I'm so so so sorry about your dog. My heart breaks for you :( You sound like you are doing great. Be kind to yourself, and if you feel like having a drink it's not the worst decision and there is always tomorrow. Sending you hugs.

I've had some falters but am basically on day 16 and I'm ending the 22nd so the end is in sight. I'm going to cook lots this weekend and grill with the nicer weather. After my weekend wine event I plan on going mostly W30 in my eating until vacation!!
-
They are just smelly, like broccoli. I imagine my coworkers hate how much reheated broccoli I eat. It's going to be somewhat nice this weekend and I can not wait to open my kitchen windows, my house smells meat-y and food-y since I've been cooking so much and I'd like to air it out!!
-
I've decided to go to urgent care tonight for my head cold/whatever that won't go away. I'm still eating on plan!! I can't believe it's been this long since I've had cheese, bread, pizza!!!
-
It's really up to you what you want to put in your body. My choice would be the best whole milk cheese I could find (raw if available) for pizza topping and have it as a treat. That vegan cheese has weird stuff in it: Filtered water, tapioca and/or arrowroot flours, non-GMO expeller pressed canola and /or non-GMO expeller…

I think I would be there if I wasn't fighting a head/chest cold- I KNOW I would be so much sicker if I wasn't eating healthy so there is that! I'm able to get up easier as well, that's huge for me, I'm always late from over sleeping.
-
@vhuber I think there is a point in the W30 timeline that it feels as though you have GAINED weight, I'm not looking forward to that point it will be discouraging.
-
Steam, I don't drink coffee but am loving trader joe's teas- peach ginger white tea is nice (but not strong) and Tazo 'Calm' in the evening is lovely. Neither are strong flavors but maybe something totally different would help? If it's totally the coffee flavor and you are avoiding caffeine you probably need advice from a…

I peeked at the scale last week but am dying to do a real weigh in- soon!! Good work everyone, great numbers!

I've been new forever, it's so scary to walk in the first few times- heck, it's still scary some days lol!! One of the only reasons I go is because I think it's the first time in a gym/workout setting I don't feel judged. I'm hoping this is the year I'm not new anymore! As for scaling, I do some of the moves with the PVC…
