It's a trick to avoid being hard wired into expecting instant gratification. As such, it's very easy to tempt people with promises of minimal effort-instant results type thing. Fad diets, vitamin pills, etc. We all need to be a little zen sometimes, I suppose.

Wow, it's really working for you! You look great! I think baby steps is the way forward - makes a more sustainable lifestyle change. I think I started off too fast and didn't feel too good in myself about it. Slowing down a bit makes it much more comfortable.

I was coveting the polar H7 - it's a luxury, as I already have a heart rate/watch combo that works okay. Would prefer to not wear the watch, just to reduce the stuff I carry.

You can reverse the dehydration easily enough surely? I find black coffee really helps with digestion and post-food slumps.
